Honestly I would say to look for an open team, or post mid-high open even if you think you are better than that. Being humble is a lot better than coming across arrogant. If players start to notice you are playing above the skill level you say you are, then it will be a lot easier for you to find a team. The main reason there is so much negativity towards your statement of saying you want to play IM, is you are unfamiliar to most of the community and your post made you come across arrogant.
Stating "I look forward to playing with you nerds" starts you off on a sour note even before you get to find a team in my opinion.
