German and Korean.
I do ESL tutoring for visiting SK professors children. Given the parents are very strict about no Korean spoken during our lessons, but I always find time for the little ones to teach me things. :D

Semi-on topic: Picking up Chris Johnson in fantasy this year had like MAJOR potential upsides. I seriously though he'd play into the Jets scheme well.
Fucking ZERO points most weeks, but I just can't let him go.. I just have this inkling. Oh well, that's what benches are for. God he's probably done for good. RIP
With my son, who I left at GXL. If anyone finds little Esteban tell him I'm worried.

Just relaxing.
Competitively - early 2008
8v8 was standard. 2fort, dustbowl, and cp_well were the prime attractions.
Played in the first serious real-deal money 6s tournament (the CGS) in late 2008 with my team bubbles (.•°) CGS was actually great for tf2:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Championship_Gaming_Series
"The CGS Pro-Am Division was a players opportunity to play against the Pros and compete for more than $40,000 in cash prizes. The first season included Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, and Team Fortress 2 tournaments. Sadly, shortly after the first season was completed The CGS franchise was cut by Direct-TV which ultimately ended this opportunity for another competitive league for the everyday gamer."
Keep in mind for TF2 there were no 'pros' set already so it was just the top teams around then against each other. It's really fucking weird to think about what TF2 would be now if the CGS stuck around, it was serious SERIOUS exposure.
RIP
wavin' that big knife around shhhwoosh

I literally think of this video every few months when I try to use "wavin' that big knife around shhhwoosh" in context IRL and it becomes so hard to breathe from laughing. Someday, somewhere someone will understand and I won't look as crazy.
What can I say?
Excellent, excellent experience let alone lan. Being able to just spectate (i.e. harass) all the gamers in their natural habitats was awesome. Random stream of consciousness thoughts:
Meeting tons of very keen tf2 dudes for the first time: ☑
Meeting some alluring, intelligent tf2 community dudettes: ☑
Being able to sit in between, not watch from far back.. but sit in between some of the best players in the game during huge matches: ☑
(Seriously, stuff like being able to sit in between mansky and shade as they push into last with uber, ravage things and then look at their smiling, beautiful faces and tell em 'das wassup big dogs' is a wonderful experience.)
Staying in one of the production (lange, getawhale) hotel rooms stumbling in at 5AM to no ones chagrin (thanks to everyone who got me f'd up in various ways rick, ninjanick etc.): ☑
Having 35+ people in Ricks room and tons of them throwing down money on the table (felt like some wild Chinese gambling scene in a movie) on a bet just to watch Marmaduke beat (see swindle) me (hope someone has that video): ☑
Watching people who lost money on me, instantly drunkenly win it back betting on a coin flip: ☑
Giving sezco a middle finger/hugging Chad whenever I could: ☑
Coaching budsquad and looking like a lunatic with my arms crossed constantly pacing aggressively after being inspired by c9s coach: ☑
Seriously though, way too many random memories. Getting to know a lot of gamers better (cdubs, the eLevate boiz, 20b) was a real treat. Cheers to everyone, and especially all the men and women who helped to put on such an amazing event. Fuck man after swearing off tf2 it was enough to make me really wanna jam next season. Any teams in need of medical assistance? ;)
I love you all, and I mean it.
xoxo,
Keith Richard Smerbeck
I got things ironed out so I'll be there, but I have a small request.
Philadelphia, PA, 30th St Station (Thursday, 2:10 PM)
^ ^ ^
My bus I'm taking in arrives at 2:10 on Thursday @ the 30th Street Station. Would anyone who is going to be there then be able to swing by and pick me up? I will not have a PC with me, just 2 small bags. I will offer goods and services in payment.
I miss when the backburner gave +50 HP. :[
Perhaps I'm confused, but I don't understand why it's worth it to level up my first hero, how does it effect my other heroes? Shouldn't I just focus on leveling up the more expensive heroes or.. Man I have no idea what I'm doing LMAO
EDIT: Sorta got it now, nevermind hah.
Honestly, that article is fucking super well written. Like I could show it to my non-gamer friends and it would hold their interest. This is the kinda stuff we need! (Doesn't matter what game you prefer)
I was just watching some of his standup like 2 days ago, it really helped me through a hard day. ~_~
cactus canyon rules, I love how they are going about changing/balancing it.
