#105 Concerns about Flares that Care in TF2 General Discussion
GentlemanJontordanaI think it's really a shame that, regardless of the trustworthiness of Snoven, the TF2 community managed to witch hunt hard enough to freak out the kid and force a cancellation of the event. The point of this was not to inflate anybody's ego, it was to raise money for a good cause and help out some kids in need. The point of it appears to have been to take his scamming activities to a new level. If he's made the event toxic then he is the one to blame... and maybe whoever gave him the keys to the car.

No one gave him the "Keys to the car" it's more like he jump-started it and kept going. I couldn't this event due to college work coming up. To respond to Defy, please don't call me "dumb as fuck", everyone has 20-20 hindsight. This event was created for good and he like previously stated, tarnished the name. I would like to apologize to everyone who was scammed by him.

#10 Concerns about Flares that Care in TF2 General Discussion
moofThe fact that this event was already not very well organized imho and expected both showmatch teams to at first play 3 hours of h i g h l a n d e r already made me raise an eyebrow-- but with this new information I'd like to see some form of documentation or proof that the items/money from the last charity event was in fact DONATED to charity.

The first event (as stated above) took only monetary donations which went directly to the charity of Child's Play.

The first event was great, I had a great time hosting it and everyone had a fun time whilst raising money for kids. The second event was out of my hands and I had no pull in it. Snoven treated a lot of our guests/management with no respect. I could not be apart of an organization that treats people with such little respect (especially since they were doing this out of the kindness of their hearts). I started FTC to raise money for kids, not for events such as this happen in the community. Digresser has made a great post that really does open eyes.
