Lets see 'um.
RhetoricalAnarchistI'm gonna try and go; any idea what the best way to get to Philly from the Boston area would be, trains buses etc?
Probably this guy.
ShunCan you put me down as carpooling from Boston, MA? I can probably drive through Amherst to pick up those listed.
If any Europeans happen to get better prices on flights into Boston (this is unlikely) I'd be willing to drive a van down.
You can live with me if you dont mind a 38 hour commute
Could play invite.
Mid-High IM at least on every class.
MartyWill there be a buy-in for the tournament?
Yes, the buy-in will be $20 per person ($120 per team).
So, you pay $40 to get in and $20 to actually play, or is it a part of the $40?
Its additional. 40 is your ticket to the lan, 20 more for the tf2 tourney.
RadmanThis is nice insight into the decisions you make during midfights, but you dont really offer up why you make those decisions. I expected to see something more general, rather than talking about each specific situation.
Sure he does. In some examples on the first midfight:
"I still have a scout in and their medic is still on point so I move in to fight this."
"Our scout moves under so I circle around the right."
Some things have to be inferred. In the first example it can be inferred that he wants to fight with his teammate who is still in, and the med still being on the point means he's within killable range. In the second you can infer that he doesn't want to push the same way as his teammate to split up the enemy's focus. Since his teammate is already going under kapoww picks a different path.
This game plays too fast to be able to outline the reasons for everything you do without playing the clips at 25% speed or something. Watch the video more than once and use some critical thinking skills the second time around. It's only two minutes long.
ps thanks for the shoutout Bryan. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
LunacideFinding a good scrim on IRC for any IM+ team is basically impossible now. If you don't schedule scrims, you don't scrim. This isnt necessarily a bad thing, but it hasn't always been like this.
I have a feeling this is just because of the level of play. As you get closer to the top there are less and less teams at your skill level to scrim. I dont think it has much to do with the league split for IM+ teams since pretty much all of us focus on the esea map.
Stats are supplementary info for evaluating play. They can help you find areas to improve on but without viewing the game they are pretty much completely meaningless unless something is massively away from the norm like someone going 5:20 or doing 100 dpm or something.
This is awesome. I'd love a chance to see how my team does against the top dogs.
Last year a few guys and I met at Pats and honestly I was underwhelmed. The cheesesteak cost like 10 dollars and wasn't that filling. Tasted good but wasn't worth the drive into the city. We sat in traffic for a few hours leaving Philly to get back to the convention center. If you really want a steak, make sure you're clear of the beltway before rush hour. I76 is a fucking dumpster of a highway.
itt post where you live
Dedicated player. Gl finding a team.
