Hey everyone!

We're currently planning and looking into hosting a North American TF2 Open LAN event in February 2022 based in Los Angeles, and we know this will likely be the first LAN event for many years for the region.

It will run Friday 11th to Sunday 13th February 2022.

Estimated start of the event is currently anticipated to be in the late morning on the 11th so if you are travelling from afar you perhaps need to consider accommodation from the 10th.

At the moment we do not have a massive amount of information and even less we can currently share as of right now. However, we need to determine how much interest there is in attending and playing at such an event. This would be an open LAN tournament similar to events like Insomnia. The more players we have, the larger the prize pool and event we can run.

So far we've had some great positive responses from a few of the top teams, so we would like to hear from you! Let us know your thoughts and interest below! Tell everyone you know!

A: We are awaiting confirmation around rentals

A: Yes there will be an entry fee similar to other BYOC LANs

A: We hope to give more information regarding the LAN during November if things fall into place as needed.

From what I understand, boshy currently has an active ban for ban evasion but not for cheating on Tempus. The cheating ban ended (EDIT: its been extended til August but the reason is "Bonus/Trick admin abuse"). Apparently the cheating Bonus/Trick abuse was from abusing administrator powers and not for using hacks. With that in mind, boshy at the present moment shouldn't have any problems with being able to play in this competition. And as the cheating Bonus/Trick abuse was done previously with admin powers, that won't be a problem for this event.
