RainofLightthe google doc recommends setting teammate glow seconds to 0 instead of 10
I actually use this feature and it helps me know what's going on when I spawn
very rarely does this screw over disguised spies and saying I shouldn't be able to use this setting because it doesn't work on dx8 is like saying we should limit everyone to lowered fov 4:3 resolution because not everyone has widescreen monitors and people with widescreen would have an fov advantage.
if someone has to decide whether or not to switch to dx9 from dx8 because of teammate glow let them make that decision, instead of catering to them by forcing everyone to use the old no-glow system
I think it's hud dependent, but you can see teammate healthbars and names for a few seconds after spawn on dx8
