#16 Headset mic picking up my audio in Hardware

Check your speaker plug and see if theres 3 black bands on it? if theres 3 bands (unlikely tho cause speakers) that may be why the front panel is detecting a mic. Spotify will send audio to "correct" default output most of the time, but sometimes windows/whatever app sends output to the thing that got plugged in FIRST, which may be the issue.

If its not yay! you get to do this bs down below.
use DDU/nuke current GPU drivers. reinstall ONLY physx/gpu drivers, no GPU audio driver. remove and reInstall windows driver following the exact instructions from motherboard manufacturer, windows 10 store is terribly ass so you may need to google around to find the exact app required. If it doesnt work from the gigabyte audio panel, you may be able to disable the front panel mic in thru the realtek audio console (which should get installed throughout the previously mentioned headache).
It should work after that, and if you need it you can reinstall GPU audio drivers once you verify it does.

also Nvidia broadcast is nuts if you can use it. RTX voice (for all Geforce/Quadro/Titan GPU's) does the same thing but at a slightly higher performance impact, like 2-3% more gpu util.

#5 Is it possible to get a stable 120+fps framerate? in Customization

if its pubs, imo you're kinda screwed in my experience. in Comp you should be able to hold 144+ easily. I would repaste your cpu just to be sure, enable XMP on your ram or maybe OC it a bit. If that still fails you could go the route of https://www.teamfortress.tv/57332/how-i-made-tf2-run-beautifully and have a smoother looking game rather than a higher FPS one. IMO i prefer the smoother look, and if you spend... 2~ hours really testing it you can get some crystal clear looking frames.

oh and ofc prolly should throw on master comfig med-low or low just to be sure. I was dropping below 50fps in the 24/7 skial harvest server with it on medium with a 10900 and 1060

#1 Selling mice+CPU's+r7 260x in Hardware

If you wanna look at the mice or CPU/260x here. They will be individually linked on each item as well. Msg/post a comment down below for offers.

Prices are all flexible, will include shipping to CONUS and paypal fees. On the offchance you're local to Phoenix, we'll work something out. Cleaning me out will beget a discount. I also have some random ddr3 RAM if you need it?

Mz1/Zy's Rail SOLD - $50? Preordered, used for about 2-3 weeks before gamestop had 90$ GPW's. No wear, I think it has everything it shipped with.

Model O wired SOLD - $30? Rough shape, used hard for 3-4 months. No noticeable shine on m1/m2 but sides are obvious as hell. Should have everything originally shipped with however.

G502 Proteus Spectrum - $25 Good condition NO WEIGHTS, No noticeable wear other than the "box" if you can call it at this point. Will try to have it reboxed upon shipping.

i9-10900 SOLD- $300? Used since feb-march 2021? Sitting under a scythe fuma 2, haven't had an issue with temps or performance. This will stay in my PC until someone buys it. Great heatsink but FUCK it's a pain to mount.

2600x SOLD- 100$ Can ship with cooler (+10$), would prefer not to due to missing some packaging for original box. Bought off some guy on /r/hardwareswap, wanted to do... something? with it but never did.

i5-4690k $50? Just the chip, not entirely sure how to ship but def will involve foam+padded envelope. Worked fine when I used it for a short while.

r7 260x - $20? The main reason you clicked the thread! Deadass don't want this to become e-waste. Need will take priority over first come, first served for this one. dm me if not comfortable posting in thread.

i9-10900X (HEDT!) - $500? Don't make the mistake I did and try to find a usecase where there is none. Never socketed, original packaging. Not sure how they originally come however, the insert always ends up with the CPU off center to the display window on the box.

#10 Monitor upgrade in Hardware

the dell/AW monitors are good value, but still hella budget. IMO 144hz w/ Ultra low motion blur > 240hz w/o it. (different tech from Gsync).

VG279QM is where its gonna be at for the whole package if you dont really have preference on monitor size.

while we at it, anyone know of any new 1440p 24in w/ 144hz~? All the existing panels afaik are old af or rare.

#41 High Speed Rail in America in Off Topic

i think its cause a good chunk of people in this thread have some high level knowledge of HSR cause of the youtube algo going off on videos to the topic.

the sticking point every video drives home is that yeah, your HSR more than likely won't be compatible unless crazy amounts of planning rolling rebuilds for inevitable expansion and tech creep. It'll cost a fuck load, won't be crazy useful to anything that doesnt have massive populations.

my little take on rollout in the US would be to only hit the coasts, initially or for the first "generation". but frankly i don't ever see it happening in my lifetime for a national(-ized?) transit system with similar capabilities in the US coming around. Maybe not even local transit. I'd love to be able to take a train from one end of phoenix to the other and head on back so i could avoid traffic and gas however people are kinda shitty but the US has way more underlying socio-political issues that only exacerbate and arguably encourage it to come out.

#3 game feels like a slideshow in fullscreen/noborder in Q/A Help

#1 might be cause of a dx level issue?
#2 something to do with how its rendered or whatever that entails. normally its sorted out properly but having vsync on in game or in gpu panel will fuck your fps.

#5 Major FPS drops in Q/A Help

might be something updating or scanning in the background? if its around the same time of the day, id give disabling antivirus scanning a go and to manually set window 10 (if u use it) "active" hours to late night or early morning

#52 How I made TF2 run beautifully in Hardware

kind of a catch all, if you have a g/freesync compatible monitor it'll ensure you're at least not creating a larger frame buffer than necessary which introduces the crazy input lag. If you use Nvidia fast sync instead of regular/default vsync it might introduce some weird microstuttering if the fps is not capped to the rounded refresh rate.

RTSS + fast vsync just ensures you get the absolute most out of the technique, microstuttering is fixed with an in-game frame cap. Source engine and lithtech are the ones I've ran into so far where you needed said in-game cap.

Why the does said buffer cause stuttering? No fuckin clue
