Shoutouts to:
-Every single person who helped make this LAN happen.
-My team! (Jojo, Redshirt, Soggy, Ly, and Quartz)
-Everyone who randomly dropped by our hotel room to play melee, and helped us get rid of excess alcohol.
-All the people I got to meet. It was so cool to finally put names to new faces, and see some familiar ones as well.
-Antecedent, for letting me teach him Invite-level solitaire strats
Can anybody (who might already be there) tell me if the TVs in the La Quinta rooms have composite cable inputs?
I'm very much in for getting buzzed.
AlexandrosBrenhit me up with some absinthe you feel me
P sure that's illegal in the U.S
It's legal as long as thujone levels are less than 10mg/l.
Only 18 days! So excited to see friends, and attend my first major TF2 LAN. :) I really never thought I'd get the opportunity to go to something like this. HUGE thanks to everyone involved in organizing it!
Wow, this looks excellent. It also feels super easy to use. Nice work!
So excited for this, cu@ for sure!
Unsolicited flight advice below:
Basically, don't wait until the end of December/January to book flights, and you should be fine. You may be able to save like $100-$150 if you watch flight prices carefully, though. (I like to track my flight prices with Google Flights.)
Also, if you have to book a flight with a layover, a good rule of thumb is to give yourself at least an hour between flights. This is particularly important if you have a layover at a large, unfamiliar airport.
A couple of my favorite foreign films, if that's something you enjoy. Swiped plot details from IMDb because I'm lazy.
Amélie, "Amélie is an innocent and naive girl in Paris with her own sense of justice. She decides to help those around her and, along the way, discovers love."
After the Wedding, "A manager of an orphanage in India is sent to Copenhagen, Denmark, where he discovers a life-altering family secret."
Saw Nightcrawler and Silence of the Lambs mentioned above, I highly recommend both as well.
Looking forward to a fun season with Yarn! Also, like others have said, best of luck to all the teams and players starting their first season of open. It's tough but totally worth it.

I have been playing competitive TF2 for about a year and a half, both HL and 6's. I currently play scout in ESEA-O. I plan to stream matchmaking, DM practice, PUGs, and scrims during the coming season.
My cat likes to sit on the window sill and attack my arm while I game, but I love her anyway.

Also my parents have a polydactyl kitten that's pretty cute. (7 toes on both front feet!)

I've played against Soggy several times during this past season, and he's been learning fast. He practices DM fairly often, and from what I've seen from him, he seems to be an all-around solid scout. I think he'd fit in very well on a mid-open team, Also, he's a super chill guy!
