"There are 69 grams of sugar in a 32 ounce sweet tea, which has more sugar than 2 1/2 snickers candy bars." [Source]
I guess liking it is a matter of taste though.
Bump, still LFT. Thirsty for tryouts.
QR codes are only for copying and editing people's Miis. If you want to actually friend people, you have to have them added on Facebook or Twitter, and then add them via that in-app.
Back to looking for tryouts. :(
Any updates on this?
I'm probably one of the most gullible people on the planet, so this day is my own personal hell. It's all very stressful and confusing. I think I've been fooled 10+ times today.
I have this issue all the time. I have to sit and refresh over and over until they finally decide to show up. So frustrating.
I'll try changing the max pings/minute setting when I get home this evening, will report back results.
I've played against this guy a couple times, and he's a great scout! Definitely has excellent DM, and I always just assumed he was mid-open. Very surprised to hear that he's fairly new to competitive. Try him out for sure!
I have been playing with Red and her scrim-team for the past couple months, and tl;dr: It has been a delight!
One of my favorite things about her is how upbeat and positive she is. I don't think I've ever seen her upset or lacking confidence after a rough game. She's a pretty sharp maincaller, and I've been very comfortable with her running the show. She also always has suggestions and critique when I ask her for input on how I'm playing, which is really nice to have.
Almost all of my gameplay with Red has been with her on pocket. She does have a little work to do in the DM department, but she's working extremely hard to improve that. Every time I check to see what she's doing, she's either grinding MGE or reviewing her demos. I believe she has a few people who mentor her as well. I'm sure she will learn very quickly how/when to take fights.
In summary, pick this gal up if you want someone with a strong, positive drive to improve both their gameplay and the team's play as a whole.
Bump, still looking, will be available pretty much all this week for tryouts.
I was looking into doing something like this, so yes, I'd absolutely attend a VA/DC LAN. Do you mean Annandale, VA? Because I can't find an Allendale anywhere on the map.
I'm not sure what venues you are looking at, but I've talked pretty extensively with the staff at The Cave in Fairfax, VA about holding a TF2 event. They have ~70 solidly-specced PCs with 144hz monitors, so no one would have to bring a PC. If you're interested in checking them out for hosting your event, I can give you the info they e-mailed me.
This is the video I never knew I wanted.
Sharon's post-backstab rage is delightful.
I've been lucky enough to avoid any major shady incidents, so far. Haven't lived anywhere with high crime, so that helps.
I did go to the grocery store very late at night once, and a man snuck up right behind me in the (not very well-lit) parking lot while I was putting stuff in the car. All I really heard was, "Ma'am, I'm not gonna hurt ya, but...", which probably isn't the best opener if you're just begging for money. I don't remember how I responded, mostly I just rushed to get in my car. He didn't actually do anything threatening, but he still really scared the shit out of me. I'm a little more cautious now about where I go and when, because that situation could've been much worse than it actually was.
t;dr Don't procrastinate grocery shopping.
