Big thanks to Kevin and everyone else who helped run the tourney today! It was a fun, new experience for my team, and it was cool to get the opportunity to play such skilled players. Definitely hoping for more events like this. :)

Thanks for all the support guys, I really appreciate it. Still looking for tryouts. :)
Not sure what your goals are, but it should probably be less about not eating and more about making healthier food choices. Don't buy snack food or junk food. Learn to cook if you don't know how, and buy healthier stuff. As a general rule, non-crap food will keep you full longer. Set a routine with your meals, and don't eat after a certain time in the day. (I try to avoid eating after 8 pm.) Like people said, distract yourself with other activities. Ultimately, though, it's about you finding the willpower to follow self-set rules.
If you're trying to lose weight and you drink often, try to cut back on that too.
I haven't known Yipyapper very long, but I'm currently a sub on his HL team. Every encounter I've had with him has been very positive. He seems down to earth, smart, and has a very soothing voice is great at map reviews/strat talks. I can't specifically speak for his skill on demo, but people who use their brain in the game are always better pickups than those who don't. +vouch

Met this guy recently and was really impressed with his Scout-ing abilities! He seems pretty motivated to learn and improve, so would definitely recommend that someone pick him up.
I finally got around to updating, and I absolutely love the new main menu/server loading screen.
Others have said it, but thanks for all your hard work rays! Been using this HUD for a pretty long time now, and I'm so glad you're still supporting it.
Hey there!
I'm currently looking to play Scout in s22 for a Low/Mid Open team. It would be my first season of ESEA.
I consider myself to be at least at a low Open level, and I believe that I could play at a mid Open level with another month or two of dedicated practice. My strong points are probably my comms and gamesense. I think my main weakness is a tendency to be too passive. I am actively working on improving my damage output and general DM.
I want to play in Open because I am very serious about improving my skills, and I want to be challenged. Playing with like-minded people would be ideal.
Prior Exp:
4 seasons of Scout in UGC HL (3 mained, 1 subbed)
2 seasons of Scout in UGC 6s (1 mained, 1 subbed)
UGC Page
Normal Schedule:
M-F: Available after 8PM EST
Sa-Su: Available all day
One small exception to my normal schedule is that my job will occasionally ask me to travel to a different location on Wednesdays. This means I could occasionally be unavailable on Wednesday nights. This would NOT be every week, but at max it could be every other week. It's been many months since they've asked me to travel that much, but it could happen.
Hit me up if you're interested in trying me out.
Arrived, might head toward lobby and loiter around there since it's kind of early. I'm in a grey cardigan and black/blue stripes,if anyone wants to meet up.
EDIT: Went back to room. Also, maybe this is obvious, but don't put the room key cards anywhere near your phone. Wiped mine, lol.
Heading out now, I should be there around 3-ish. :)
EnterimCaydaHnng, this LAN is so close to me
[...]
I guess I'll plan on going. If anyone needs a ride from the Northern Virginia/DC area[...]
120 miles is "so close"? I wish I knew that when I decided against attending GXL because I thought a 45 minute drive was too far out of the way.
It is certainly a matter of perspective, but a ~2 hour drive is really not a big deal for me. I do that when I travel for work every couple of weeks. Besides, I'm sure several people will be traveling much further than I am.
Be sure to keep an eye on the weather, guys. It may cause issues for some people traveling on Friday.
I'm seeing 1-3"/3-5" snow in the forecast on Friday for all areas between DC and Mechanicsburg, which is my travel route. Not sure how to best handle the situation, but I'm going to wait for the forecast to get a bit more precise before I change my plans around. Really don't want to miss out on things because of one stupid day of snow.
EDIT: Forecast suddenly changed to very slim chance of any snow at all. Someone must have sent a sacrifice to the gods of safe travel. Huzzah!
I had some very mundane copy/paste work to do this morning, so having this to listen to was awesome. Great work on this interview, really enjoyed it. (Audio seemed fine for me, but maybe I'm crazy.)
If anyone is procrastinating on getting tickets, there's 34 9 left at the moment. Just something to keep in mind.
I am also planning on bringing snacks/food as a peace offering. It would be nice to have a rough headcount, so I made a quick form:

If people attending could take a second to respond to it, that would be cool. Snack question is optional but would be useful. :3
ShunDo you have a heater in both rooms controlled by the same thermostat? You need to turn down your heat level in living room and raise it in your room. What kind of heaters do you have? Floor Radiators, standing radiators, air-blown, etc?
If you have no heater in your room and only 1 in the living room get a space heater.
The thermostat sets the room it is in to the temperature it is at. Sounds like you're heating you're living room to 80 but this does not permeate through the rest of the house/heating system.
The only thermostat is in the kitchen, but there are heat vents in every room. The kitchen is always fairly warm as far as I can tell, but my room isn't. The kitchen also doesn't have windows, but my room does. Also it is unfortunately arranged such that my desk and bed are against the external wall. I guess I could change that, actually. It might mitigate some of the chill.
