More importantly I think we as a community should take this opportunity, in light of toaster's exemplary posting, to revive phrases like "all that and a bag of chips" and "gettin' jiggy with it."

Yay or Nah na na na na na na?

#20 Yearly reminder in Off Topic

Is this a reminder of the existence of disgusting subhuman casual gaming scum in general or that League of Legends exists?

Either way I'm fucking mad you can't see it but I'm listening to deadmouse5 and fist pumping out all of my rage

pharaoh__There are lots of examples of players who have cheated in the past (and preset) and continue to play. Making scapegoats of these players by banning them now just because someone made a drama thread about is unfair.

Help me understand this logic

Are you saying because we didn't give a shit about VAC bans before we shouldn't start giving a shit now? Makes $ense. Or are you saying we need more forum drama from the breloom detective agency LLC? Do you really want him revealing your deepest darkest secrets?

My main quarrel concerns defending the ESEA client, that's like a putting fresh toppings on a shit sandwich (extra crunchy). Maybe they could have spent some of those bitcoins to improve the program itself because people do hack on client. Just because some people cheated and got caught by VAC doesn't mean cheating on client ever crossed their minds? CAN YOU READ MINDS??? plsr espond

I explained this whole situation to a friend of mine who had no prior knowledge of tf2 and she didn't even know competitive videogames actually existed. Basically everything starting from the adventures of detective breloom until now. I didn't explain what IM and invite were because I don't think she's ready for that roller coaster ride.

She suggested instead of cheating with programs, you should instead try taking steroids like normal athletes. Hopefully this will improve your precision and reaction time. And I mean what are they going to do, make you pee in a cup at LAN? Will ESEA admins be forced to watch? There's no official ESEA rule against performance enhancing drugs iirc.

Thank me later.

#41 Dealing with Anxiety/Depression in Off Topic

I suggest spending one afternoon changing something you don't like about yourself. Start with something easy, your style of dress or your hair. Really sit down and look at your options, see what you like and what you don't like. Ask someone else what they think. Better yet, ask a girl. Any girl. Ask a girl who works at the hair salon or clothing store. Please note that your mom is also a girl. I'm sorry you had to find out this way (you're now acutely aware that everything your mother ever tried to do for you was to mold you into someone girls would want to date). They love that shit. If they have any shred of decency they will help you and give you honest advice. You may get a weird look or a chuckle but most will help. Just ask. Again, this is just one afternoon of slight embarrassment, I'm not talking about a 1980's montage although listening to the Rocky soundtrack may help.

I don't think these things ever truly go away, it's part of how you see the world. I've dealt with suicidal thoughts my entire adult life, panic attacks on the regular. I started taking happy pills and went to the therapy sessions, which helped a tad. What really made a difference is I started changing all the things about myself that I didn't like that I could change on my own. I stopped dressing like a piece of shit, stopped slouching like a piece of shit, cut my hair to look less like a piece of shit, and sure enough I felt like less of a piece of shit. I'll always be a piece of shit but now I feel better about looking myself in the mirror. That's largely based on people looking at me more positively, my first impressions were better. That may sound strange to admit but I don't know in what neckbeard universe you live in where the opinions of others, especially those whom you respect, honestly doesn't have an effect on you. Happiness is largely based on the quality of your relationships. That's a two way street. There's only so much time people will spend on a lost cause, you have to be willing to change. Try to be a better person and people will treat you better and respond to you better. It may not sound fair, it may sound pretty damn shallow, but that's reality whether you like it or not.

Or you could sit in your room, play another round of tf2, and complain about the world. Sooner or later you will realize that the world isn't listening.
