I don't understand why a new player would use this over newbiemixes. It also seems like it would drive new players away...

nope, still using dx9frames and 1366x768
the yellow cross isn't a hud crosshair though, if that makes a difference.
Haven't changed a thing, and today my crosshair is now transparent, the yellow cross, the circle is supposed to be transparent

ompcabooseI haven't read this thread completely, and I might be wrong, but from what I know your hud doesn't support 16:9 aspect ratios. Is this what's causing it?It's actually primarily designed for 16:9. However, the aspect ratio should not affect the font, but it's entirely possible the resolution does. TF2's font rendering seems to be pretty bad.
[edit] Just tested at 1366x768 specifically and it seems to be fine, at least on Linux.
I use the 1366x768 resolution, and it works fine also.
Do you know how long these sales typically last? I don't have the money now but will incredibly soon.
