#7 ETF2L Ban Policy in TF2 General Discussion

If saying mean words can warrant a 5-year ban then so should being a nonce or a cheater.

#72 You guys were right. in Off Topic

I haven't heard from Offside ever since he played for my Highlander Open team (where he was as toxic as in some of these clips) until he messaged me about two years ago apologizing for his behavior and saying he'd changed his ways.

Apparently he just did that to make himself feel better and earn some karma points, because reading his post here he sounds exactly the same as the person I met in 2016.

#1 Best server host for EU? in Q/A Help

So I was wondering which server host is still considered the best for tf2 in EU? NFO, Hiperz, something else?

Money isn't a big issue if the quality provided is good and it's ddos-protected.

#58 Ready Up: Competitive Team Fortress 2 Premiere in Events
DarkNecridClarkGreat documentary, made me tear up a bit.

I was a bit disappointed though that it didn't mention any game-modes other than 6v6 (highlander, ultiduo, bball e.t.c), because people playing them make up for a large part of the community. Highlander Community Challenge in 2011, for example, was an insanely huge event and brought in thousands of new players into competitive.

P.S. Any update on when it's uploaded to YT?

There's no reason to mention those, how or where people got into 6s wasn't even mentioned in the documentary (including even the 6s related events!) because it wasn't really the point of it and it would have easily bogged it down & over-complicated the docu to non-TF2 players.

To me personally the docu was about the strength of the community so passionate and resilient it has managed not only to survive against all odds, but to build much more together than could have ever been anticipated.
I'm not sure how taking a minute or two to mention the single biggest event thought-out and organized by members of said community could over-complicate things for viewers not familiar with tf2, especially since it was such a crucial moment for competitive.

#8 Audio issues after recent updates in Q/A Help

So I'm making this thread alive again, because it apparently only happens on some servers, and not others, but is nonetheless annoying af. Still haven't found a way to fix it though.

Setting snd_mixahead to 0.1 didn't help, still getting occasional glitches.

#29 HL Pugs Open Beta in TF2 General Discussion

From my perspective as a EU player who enjoyed most of the games I played on this website, this pug: http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/534925, was lost before the game had even begun because a few people who I don't remember the names of, spent good 10 minutes complaining and arguing (to their fellow americans, mind you!) about bad picks and continued doing so after the game had already started.

And, yes, scrambled is correct: there aren't any examples where EU players did worse than their NA counterparts, and in the pug above pretty much everyone played terribly, not just Europeans.

#1 Audio issues after recent updates in Q/A Help

I've started getting an issue lately where I sometimes can't hear the sound of my gun firing while there are some other noises going on in the background. It's especially noticeable when I fire at the same time as my enemy does.

Those are my audio settings:

dsp_enhance_stereo 0
dsp_slow_cpu 0
snd_async_fullyasync 1
snd_pitchquality 1
snd_spatialize_roundrobin 1
snd_mixahead 0.05
snd_mix_async 1

Is there any particular reason why there can't be a 2nd stream at TeamFortress.TV? Was it specified in the agreement with Esports Arena?

FlippylulTetris ( the russian one ),was problably cheating actually

If you're talking about him: http://etf2l.org/forum/user/12828/ - he wasn't cheating, was genuinely great and appeared at a LAN even in Russia where he performed just as amazingly as he did online and only left TF2 when Dota 2 was released.
