Living in Wales the thing that has really bothered me about this all is the lack of media attention on the two women who were facilitating the children (I believe it was their own) for him to abuse. Growing up in the rock scene in Cardiff The Lostprophets were always around the local gigs and seemed like normal guys and would always talk. There were rumours then of Ian sleeping with younger girls (16/17) and I guess they must have been true. All in all the guy is really fucked up and I hope that he is placed in to the normal populous during his time at Her Majesties Pleasure. The word monster is the only way to describe these three people!

Wouldn't being at LAN with more people be more enjoyable for the players attending? If CEVO did piggy back off of one of the big US LANs it could as extine suggested, create more exposure for the game. Not that i'm one of those "TF2 needs to grow" guys. I'd just like the comp scene to stay alive aslong as possible.

They really needed to sack Horror to be honest. In Wales we have a saying. "Jobs for the boys" and they're just keeping him on as he's one of them and not because he is any good at his job. It also looks like Twitch is abdicating its responsibility and protecting a member of staff who created a massive shit storm that made the organisation look like a joke and has impacted on other peoples positions within the organisation. The volunteer admins were only following Horror's lead. Hope that hitbox doesn’t turn out to be a failure. Twitch needs competition, it's too divisive of a platform to be monopolised.

I find it really sinister that Twitch have asked for the threads to be removed from Reddit. It can't be easy for Twitch_Jon as he can't just remove a large number of his modding staff. Yes a lot of people would apply to replace them but it would be very time consuming for him to vet them all and if it is true that this Horror character is indeed the only paid admin then removing the person who would logically conduct the recruitment is even more of a ball ache. Also, he seems like the type of idiot who would try and drag the name of twitch through the mud saying he was sacked because he was gay blah blah.

The silence from the higher ups at Twitch needs to be broken soon because if enough people jump ship to the hitbox platform then the money will go down. It's the streamers who have the power in this situation and by the looks of it the speedrun community is large, vocal and pissed off. It would only take a few leaders/celebs in the community to do a Moses and lead everyone off. Or at least, that is my opinion.

Could someone give a full breakdown of what has happend? I really want to understand what people are butthurt about.

We'll never see it mate. We're basically the Guinea Pig of Valve for things they want to beta before they put in their valued titles. It's pretty shit for us as a community, but we've proved plenty of times we don't need to suck on Valves teat to be a successful community. No one does what we do with as little outside investment/resources.
