Took pretty much every sensitivity in this thread and made an average
9.83in/360 for anyone wondering or 24.97cm/360 (figured I'd do it otherwise this thread is pretty pointless, oh and congratz to dflame for posting his sens 5 or 6 times in this thread)
Would perhaps be willing to do averages by class?
And if you're feeling superstar, standard deviations and outliers.
"Would perhaps be willing to do averages by class?" Maybe it's why I added what class/main they were
"And if you're feeling superstar, standard deviations and outliers" Not likely, I disincluded some outliers from the getgo cause I highly doubt the 1 guy who said he used a "6ft/360" or 72in/360

xklbrSo I'm having an issue - every so often, my TF2 starts showing a translucent purple and black background. I can't pinpoint what event causes it, but it stays until I exit the server.
It looks like this:

I use Chris' highframes and eggHUD.
Is there anyone who is having those issues, and is there a way to fix them? Thanks!
Do you have a AMD GPU or CPU?
I'm not sure if it's the GPU or the cpu but if you use post processing effects it causes that overlay and happens more often when you have the extra threading
"r_queued_post_processing 1" should be 0
plus
"mat_colcorrection_disableentities 0
mat_colorcorrection 0"
Make sure that is also 0
shameless plug for cfg.
http://teamfortress.tv/thread/20172/my-fps-config
if you get a new CPU you need a new Motherboard as well.
suikacinderThe 2 biggest fps boosters that have helped me are mat_queue_mode -1 in autoexec.cfg and -nod3d9ex in Steam Launch Options for TF2.
What exactly does -nod3d9ex do? It seems to have the same effect as putting -dxlevel 81 into the launch options for me.
Basically fully Disables Aero when you launch TF2.
zenKaptainI'm pretty sure 75%+ accuracy is considered fishy when it's on sniper, since most (high level) snipers don't get over 50% often. 75%+ accuracy on scout happens quite often and isn't fishy really.Wouldn't say 75%+ accuracy on sniper is fishy either. Played a few times against kensi and he got really high accuracy on sniper quite a few times. I could imagine Dennia does the same, since he just charges a shot and never shoots unless he gets a 150 dmg bodyshot :D
A few pages back I proved that even Kensi rarely pulled that off, and only played sniper for 2 or 3 lives and took a total of 10 shots. 75+% accuracy on Sniper when they played full time sniper, and didn't play ultra passive is EXTREMELY rare.
AndiSabinBenQ XL2411T does not have support for HDMI 1.4. If you want 120+hz@1080 you need DVI DL
Dave_AndiSabinBenQ XL2411T does not have support for HDMI 1.4. If you want 120+hz@1080 you need DVI DLYou can also use custom timings via HDMI and that works as well (I did it for my planar sa2311w that doesn't have support for hdmi 1.4 and I'm running it at 120Hz right now)
HDMI 1.3 and 1.4 can do 1080p 120Hz, also Display Port > Basically everything else.
honestly the best way is to just lower your resolution. Almost all other methods you're either looking at maybe 2-5 extra Hz, or you're going to be cutting your screen off at the edges.
ProcreativeBig thanks to Comanglia. This dude helped me for 45 minutes to get an extra 20-30 fps out of my 1.7ghz/integrated gfx laptop.
What I have thus far:
-Cowmanglia CFG
-No hats/effects mod
-640x480
-preload with filterlightmaps script/mat_showlowresimage 1
-mat_viewportscale 1, mat_viewportupscale 0.5
End Result: http://i.imgur.com/b2CTjX2.png
god it feels good to be gaming.
No problem
KhanTF2ProcreativeBig thanks to Comanglia
what preloading are you talking about?
http://teamfortress.tv/thread/17973/making-your-tf2-look-blocky-again this one (makes sniper scope unusable)
raducinder_vittoEDIT: i cant even move or shoot in singleplayer servers. Why?ProfessionalPansexualEdit: Nvm. Answer was very simple, in game sound quality was set to low. On another note though, I can't use the config, because it doesnt let me move or properly shoot when in game. I load up tr_rocket_shooting2 to test out the config and when I try to shoot, it's like 100x shooting speed, and nothing comes out.
Bumping 'cause I'd like to solve this problem as well. Which command causes this?
try host_thread_mode 0 to solve the x100 shooting problem and the "no movement" issue
Well shit looks like I need another update...
While I'm 100% sure that nativeavian was hacking, bary you don't do yourself any favors when you rollout sniper to mid before you even know that they have a hacker, you triple fake scoped a hacking sniper (Seriously wtf if they toggle their triggerbot or aimbot you could be the jitteriest player around and 95% of the time they'll still kill you.)
