I gotta say Sigafoo, this is really, really disappointing.
When this was first announced I was genuinely excited and hopeful, because while I disagreed with how you were doing things, I liked the concept. I thought the only problem with how you were running things was that you had too many variables. A tournament where we play normal 6s but scout is limited to one is a great way to see if scout limit one is a positive or negative change. A tournament full of koth and payload maps is a great way to see if playing more koth and payload maps is a positive or negative change. A tournament where we play normal 6s, but with a pick/ban weapon system is a great way to see if that kind of a system is a positive or negative change. (Personally I don't think any of those changes would be a positive change, but that's irrelevant to my point)
Putting all three together makes the results less impactful, because it's difficult to see which changes were good and which were bad, but I was still hopeful because there still could be some information gained, and you said that things could still be changed. I had hoped that from community feedback, and common sense, you would reduce the variables, or change the tournament in a way that would allow us to better analyze which changes were be good and which were be bad.
Holly shit though you just went in the complete opposite direction. At this point your format is so far away from traditional 6s, no valuable information will be gained, and this tournament will prove nothing to the community. I suppose it's your money, and you're under no obligation to make this tournament something that will provide quality data, and improve the game, but god damn am I sad because that's what I thought you were trying to do when I first heard about the tournament.
