Big thanks to everyone who already applied, I just want to bump this one last time to say we're still looking for some more color casters, so if you're knowledgeable about the game, and you think it'd be fun to talk on stream (it is), send me an add, and we'll see about getting you on some games. Color casting is a great way for people to enjoy the game without having to commit to a team, and I strongly recommend giving it a try to anyone who isn't playing this season!

I hope Scizor finds a new team in Invite for next season. Watching good sniper players go off is one of my favorite parts of TF2.
I would love to be able to play the trumpet, but I don't have the money or time to learn it. For now I'll just have to stick to playing the air trumpet every time a trumpet gets played in a song. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/QXG0R6Ur1bk/hqdefault.jpg
Alright boys and girls, bump time! NA coverage is looking for: play by play casters, color casters, producers, and schedulers!

Must not be planning on playing on a team for ESEA season 26. Must be able to make standard match time of 11pm est on standard match days of Wednesday and Thursday.
Color Caster
Must have a strong understanding of the TF2 meta. Looking for people with previous casting experience or experience playing high level TF2. (Invite or IM) Must not be planning on playing on a team for ESEA season 26. Must be able to make standard match time of 11pm est on standard match days of Wednesday and Thursday.
Producer

You can add me on steam at http://steamcommunity.com/id/interoasting/ if you are interested in any of these positions, and I will add you back within a few days. Thanks! :)
JarlowgloperzBringing in invite players who'd actually scrimmed the teams being casted always brought a new and interesting perspective on matches. This and I think post game interviews were fun to listen to, especially if next season the team captain did a quick recap or whatever. IIRC only Sandblast did an interview
After each playoff match we asked the winning teams for interview, and only froyo and faint ever said yes. Faint didn't even win when they said yes though, Sandblast just wanted to talk more. :/
The season has concluded.
What did you think to our coverage this season?
What do you think was good?
What do you think was bad?
Why do you thinks those things?
What would you like to see in future?
-Phantom-wait so how does this work? there's 6 possible games in total what if froyo wins the first set and ascent wins the other?
froyo has the advantage coming from the upper bracket, so they only need to win 1 bo3, while Ascent need to win both.
The Olympics is a show put on to make money just like any other bit of entertainment. Regardless of if you label the games as "sports" or the players as "athletes", it would probably be a smart move by the Olympic Committee to add esports to boost the viewership of their event. It would also probably be a good thing for the community to help grow esports and put it out there more in the public eye.
Now there are some issues like, each game being owned by a company, and how would that work with them being included? (Like nobody owns soccer or running, but there's a company that owns LoL and CSGO.) You could also argue adding the games would hurt the Olympics overall earnings by hurting the organizations image in the public eye, but it always amazes me though how quickly people, even in the esports scene, reject the idea of adding esports to the largest stage for competition on earth.
Shoutout to Turbotabs for helping me cast at my first LAN.
Shoutout to Multiplay for providing me a hotel for 4 nights, and for providing so much support in general.
Shoutout to Bear for letting me sleep in his hotel on the last night because I booked my flight out on the wrong day.
Shoutout to Paddie for sleeping at the air bnb so that I could sleep in your bed on the last night. (you didn't do this on purpose but I'm thankful none the less, also sorry if you missed you're flight)
Shoutout to everyone working with eseentials.tf, but especially Wolf, Weithoofed, Jon, and Heny for all the under appreciated work you guys did.
Shoutout to Subway for providing coffee that got me through this event.
Shoutout to all the people I hung out with and talked with on Sunday night, you were all great to talk to.
Shoutout to anyone who I had added on snapchat, the stories from that event were great.
Cyanicbut why keep insomnia when many top level players have stated rewind is more accessible and easier? pumping more money into rewind just seems like the better option
I don't understand why you think not having i series will make other LANs better? It's not like one LAN takes away from another, unless they're around the same time. You're literally arguing for fewer events for no reason.
CyanicBumFreezeCyanicwhy do we hold these events when there are only 2 decent teams?why dont you shut the heck up
its not a dumb question, like wouldn't it make far more sense to wait until there are many teams close in skill then host a larger LAN rather than forcing one every year when there's very little competition.
Ya like, why would we ever want more LANs and more competitive TF2 to watch? Wouldn't it be so much better if there was less content and less video games???
maxc232when is the grand finals?
After LAN
RussianGuyovichYou have an ESEA open final scheduled in 5 days in there, so clearly someone's taking the piss.
Lol I don't want to get involved with the main argument here because it really doesn't involve me, but how is that a relevant point at all? Open players are just really damn good at scheduling in advance
ValorousTFhonestly anybody who did donate for gnomercy to go to i61 deserved to lose their money in the first place
i love the team but real talk it would just make tf2 look like a joke if we had teams like this competing at lan
Marmaduke refunded everyone who donated for them to go to LAN. Although I doubt many people donated because there was never actually a fundraiser, because they realized pretty early on they couldn't go to LAN.
