I've been transfixed by a Hammer Dulcimer for the longest time and as a percussion mallet enthusiast I've always wanted to learn how to play one. I ordered one yesterday and I expect it to here within the week. I'm honestly looking forward to the grind of learning a completely new instrument that I have no idea how to play.
I totally don't want to learn it so I can spam this whenever I hit an airshot as demo

What instrument, if any no matter the cost, would you want to learn to play?

1 - Keyboard/Piano, because it enables me to play ...
2- Synths! (and yes you do need to learn synths)

I know the basics of the piano but I'd like to get better at it, I've been told once you understand basic scales and stuff on piano most other instruments are a lot easier

i play drums and guitar, have dabbled in other instruments. i too would like to become a lot more proficient with synths and electronic equipment in general, and music production as a whole, software-wise. if i could play any instrument that i have not had the chance to yet, i think id like to sit down with a hang drum for a few hours.

I would love to be able to play the trumpet, but I don't have the money or time to learn it. For now I'll just have to stick to playing the air trumpet every time a trumpet gets played in a song. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/QXG0R6Ur1bk/hqdefault.jpg

I've always wanted to play drums since I was a kid and played my friends drum set when I was in like 4th grade. My parents wouldn't buy me any when I was young because they're really loud and kind of expensive. Now that I can afford them I don't have enough space and wouldn't be able to practice without waking my brother up because he works nights.
I play guitar and bass and sing a bit so I'd really like to get drums. That way I'd be able to record some stuff I've written that I haven't been able to use when I jam with my friends.

Learning bass currently if that counts.
I doubt I'd learn something but bass and guitar, but sitar sounds really interesting.

piano. it's crazy how different a song can sound when it's done with only one instrument. Especially piano. Some of them are unrecognizable but they sound great.
