I never listened to hip hop because I didn't enjoy it until like October, here are my suggestions that got me more into it:
Earl Sweatshirt - I Don't Like Shit; I Don't Go Outside
Milo - So The Flies Don't Come
Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, MAAD City
I'm a fan of more melancholic music so Earl felt more comfortable to listen to, Milo has a style of incredibly sarcastic philosophical lyricism I enjoyed, and Kendrick's GKMC felt more like story in the form of hip hop which was nice.
