Pretty good
* use a consistent hud and settings (eg viewmodel fov) for every clip
* the fade to black transitions were a bit much
* some clips started too close to the frag and some ended too soon after it
* when doing slow motion record at at least twice the video framerate so that when you slow it the video frame rate stays the same
As usual if you had an PHAT PLAYS or sicknasty shots please post your demos with ticks here
panda106DreamboatI've had a lot of fun so far, cant wait for the semis!Tell the camera man to not disappoint next time.
If anyone whose been watching TFTV2 has any feedback for me, I'd love to hear it!
No need to be a dick about it, he's relatively new.
Note that the time was wrong, this starts in about 15 minutes not an hour and 15
Ally out, Kermit in
panda106how are they playing with high ping? How did they even make playoffs?
The group stage teams were mid-high teams or mixes and they missed out playing some of the stronger teams like BIGG TEAM or top5 rocket. Team Infamous took them to a third map.
If you played today and got any sicknasty, highlight-worthy shots drop your demos here with ticks of when it happened and we might make a tftv highlight out of them :)
CraspThe first round is underway - brackets are here: https://arena.razerzone.com/tournaments/details/2343/25231-open-dreamhack-summer-tf2-online-qualifier-by-tfcups#brackets

It's one thing to not submit demos because you're cheating but it's quite another to not submit demos because the demos requested were 6 weeks old and you had no indication the demos were even requested (Josh said he got an email but Sideshow had no communication) without looking at the match page. That's a failure on the league's side not the player's side.
HidiWhile a year is harsh, at least they're enforcing rules.
In sorex's case they aren't. Nowhere in the rules does it state that a 1 year ban can be given out for not uploading demos. The longest ban given in the rules for not uploading demos is 2 months meaning the year ban was essentially arbitrary.
PendjiDo valve actually tweak weapons anymore? I don't recall last time they cared. I'm really skeptical about MM changing any of that, even if the MM/TF2 team is 'hard at work' with their fancy dx9 stuff.
Valve has stated that one of their big aims with matchmaking is to get some useful data to do some actual weapon tweaking. There's no point in them tweaking weapons now unless they're blatantly broken when the MM release is coming soon and they'll have actual data to use to decide how to tweak them.
eeeDavidTheWin"if only because esportsnerds are so ornery and superstitious"eeeErenJay 99% of peopleno one here would call themselves 99% of mouse users tho :(
Wireless mice have always been fine for dads and office workers and normies and even casual gamers, but considering everyone here makes active decisions in their setup that result in saving maybe a tick or two, I'd be surprised if anyone would voluntarily use something like this even if the sensor delay was only 50% slower than a wire, if only because esportsnerds are so ornery and superstitious
Did you actually watch the video? The point of it is that it actually has lower sensor and click latency than their example wired mouse.
do people only read half of posts?
"even if the sensor delay was only 50% slower than a wire" when the claim is that it's actually faster
do people not even read their own posts?
There's nothing stopping some local TF2 players from buying BYOC tickets and playing TF2 at the event and if possible you guys should definitely try to do it, local community LANs are great and over time it can become something bigger.
KonceptLegacyshorasBooties are still less aids than Quickiebomb.I'm actually surprised I haven't seen more (top) NA demos use the quickiebomb launcher. Yeah it can make a demo a fragging class when combined with the booties, but in the end it's how your team plays.Max_I'm personally not a fan of them but if I need to run them for the sake of my team or I feel I'm not doing anything with pipes I'll use themMaybe one day a team will try and rise to the top with a quickiebomb/booties hyper agro demo and passive pocket soldier or something else, but in the current state of team play, the booties are a nice upside to compliment a team that plays aggressively, giving them a safety net in case things go wrong. But they are not OP. If they get banned next season, people will work around it similarly to when the old loose cannon was banned. But I still think that the verdict stands with the booties not being OP.
It's not best in the world level play but both Opti and Zikto (roughly high/prem level demos) ran quickiebombs full time at gamers assembly and were pretty effective with it.
