I can definitely see the audio lag people mentioned in the local recordings, no idea what's causing it at the moment.
Sorry about the issues with the stream, Jon went AWOL so I had to step in. I walked in the door from work at 19:47 and had to get myself and the stream ready for 20:00, this meant that the first map was streamed on tftv2, we had no overlays prepared and issues that were left over since this setup hadn't been touched since i52.
The switch to geeksirc is because it forces +x meaning your ip is hidden by default unlike gamesurge and quakenet.
RyushiDavidTheWinAs for vods, we've had some problems with the local recordings due to the stream crashing in the middle of the day. The stream 2 local recordings are fine and the stream 1 big games are fine, i.e. mix^ vs iM and mix^ vs Epsilon, but some of them around the time that the stream crashed ([R]eason vs mix^) are broken. That particular cast probably wouldn't have been any good to watch anyway given that we missed the first map (IIRC) and then in the second map stream 1 crashed so we quickly set it up on the TF2 director machine but then that crashed due to trying to fix stream 1, so it would have been cut into multiple parts anyway with missing action (including a nice airshot from Rising).
Was that the one me and Arx jumped in during the middle of map one then Tagg and B4nny took over for the second one?
Yep, I thought we had missed all of map 1 but apparently not if you and arx caught some of it.

I can honestly say our issues at i52 would have been halved if Airon had been there to help us with the sound stuff. Sound at a live event is so hard to get right, especially when you're testing it before anyone gets there so you can't judge crowd noises etc. Having a proper sound guy around really will help especially when you can then leave Lange and Dashner to focus on the video and TF2 stuff.
cyzeranyone have a link to stvs?
ArieThanks to Nymthae we already have the STV demos from Friday and Saturday.
You can download them here:
http://fakkelbrigade.eu/arie/i52/
Now, these are the raw files as they came of the server, so 'someone' should probably organize these into something more usable ;)
taggsorry hnhy, when i tried uploading it to my mega account it kept giving me errors
if anyone can manage to download and rehost the file that would be nice, otherwise i have to take another trip to school and find a different site to use
huhytaggHere is all the video footage I got from the event, go ahead and look through it and if you want to use any of it in a frag video or whatever feel free. Its 9gigs of whatever zzzffijfAnyone able to download this? I tried downloading this file three times and all of those times it stopped downloading at 8,9 GB with an unknown error.

Could someone do a favour and upload the footage on a different file sharing website? Thanks!
I downloaded it fine, testing the extract. If it needs a mirror I can upload it somewhere if someone recommends a place.
The difference between 120fps and 60fps is noticeable even on a 60hz monitor, try it.
Don't even think I can begin to remember everyone, I met so many people this time and everyone was always so nice. I don't think I'll ever experience such a concentrated amount of love for and from a community in one place ever again. We called it the TF2 dungeon but it's genuinely hard to describe the overwhelming positivity in the hall from everyone there.
Honest answers please, how many of you used i52.tf?
If yes, why?
If no, why not?
What features were missing from it?
What features could be removed from it?
Is it worth us making a similar hub page for events in the future?
erkstonit's only 1 person on production vs 3 at i52
More than 3, we had myself on TF2 cam, Arie doing all the behind the scenes stuff, Dashner doing main production and then on top of that, 2 more people manning the cameras in the hall with the players so that's 5 people in total
WARHURYEAHSeagull smacked me on granary in the con. final.
Huhy has the replay of that, c u on youtube
