One thing regarding the finals, this time we can have a third person there purely for production so the two casters can concentrate on being casters.

guyystDavidTheWinWhat fans do you have on the h110? Wondering why there's a gap between them
The gap looks way bigger in the picture than it actually is. Those are just the stock Corsair 140mm fans that came with the cooler. There is like half a cm space between them, I dunno why the picture makes it look so huge.
I find it odd Corsair would give their radiator that spacing given that the air pressure will be dropping off in that gap
hookyIf the 3D monitor is cheaper then go for it, just make sure it's actually a 120Hz monitor. Some 60Hz monitors support 3D.
With 3D you can use Lightboost, which allows for better motion clarity. You do get some input lag with it on though, so I wouldn't recommend it for playing any FPS.
Lightboost shouldn't add any input lag. All it does is strobe the backlight in time with the monitor refresh.

Asus X79-Deluxe
i7-4930K @ 4.5 GHz
Gigabyte GTX780 Windforce
Corsair H110
16GB Corsair Vengeance @1600 MHz
Corsair AX860i PSU
Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD
All that in the Corsair Air 540
My fan splitter that I used for the 2 fans above the H110 actually died today, so if anyone can recommend a solid Y-Splitter that'll work longer than 2 months be happy to do so.

Not sure if it applies here but sometimes we have to set cl_interp 0.1 on STVs to stop the stuttering.

At my old place, the build itself hasn't changed since moving.

it doesn't have to be like this :(
It's (going to be) happening
Saberit's always going to be a fucking cesspool of disgusting memes and idiots
Like I said, it really doesn't need to be. What would you rather people see when they find a TF2 cast for the first time, discussion about the game or donger spam shit talking someone on the team?
mtwitch chat has always been terrible and it always will be because its basically live youtube comments mixed with 14 yearods who cant control their emotions
It doesn't need to be, you can go look at some streamers like Broman and their 1000+ viewer chats which are more civil than most TF2 chats I've seen.
Did you guys even read the doc? It isn't "how to ban people", it's how to stop chat devolving into a shit hole of spam and nonsense
TF2 streams are growing pretty quickly these days, more sub buttons, multiple streams with 50-100+ viewers the chats are getting busier and while TF2 chats are generally pretty decent I've seen some become absolute aids. To that end, chat mods might need to learn how to deal with it on a more serious level.
This is a google doc put together by an admin in ProfessorBroman's stream (twitch.tv/professorbroman, popular speedrunner) called TheAngryPanda1, a really useful reference on how to handle chats hitting 500/750/1000+ users regularly.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13k6Tx8iBXtrmcIeypWUgTdA6kXc60_kcpLjbfCvWnZs/edit#gid=0
Somewhat on topic as well, one thing I notice is that issues in TF2 chats are very rarely dropped. If the streamer/a mod says the chat isn't going to talk about that topic from now then respect that and don't try to undermine other mods.
http://toxikk.com/newspost/lan-play-and-dedicated-servers/
ToxikkOriginally, we intended to limit match hosting for players who have purchased Clan Admin Privileges (CAPs) for TOXIKK to our own servers. However, as we saw that this plan was poorly received by the community (e.g. here and here), we started to discuss alternatives to liberalize the system and came up with a new plan which goes as follows:
If you have purchased CAPs, you will be able to set up a private dedicated server on your own machine. This server may literally be online forever. Besides the dedicated server option, you will also be able to host a match through a simple listener server on your machine via the game’s GUI, which will be online for the time you play (i.e. have the game running). A listener server will not only allow you to quickly host online matches, but also to host LAN-play matches. Happy LAN-partying everybody! :)
Still need to pay for CAP to host but apparently their idea is that most people aren't interested in hosting a dedicated server so why make them pay extra for functionality they won't use. Personally I think that functionality doesn't really cost any extra but this is a step in the right direction.
