#32 TF2Center Update: Advanced Lobbies! in Projects
aim-2keys is not 1.12 dollarsrkmartysmall monthly payment of just 1€ per month

1€ = $1.12USD

A key is roughly 2.40-2.50 USD at this time.
Since a key is payment for 2 months thenn you'd be paying 1.20 to 1.25 a month. Which is roughly the price of a kingsize candy bar. I'm sure all that sugar is bad for you anyways.

Honestly I don't see the issue, set it up on auto pay and move on; Alternatively if I could drop em 13.44 bucks and be payed up for the whole year that would be great.

There are folks in here complaining about paying 1.12 USD
Bruh that's the price of a candy bar, your ass can live with 1 less candy bar a month

#876 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion

You're talking about a completely different league with a completely different set of players.
Not sure if you know but in UGC when people have suspicions about another player that rarely ever report it, instead they prefer to bitch and gossip and demand why a player who's never been reported hasn't been banned yet.

That's why I started to pitch in on my free time. So I can be the one that overhears the bitching and gossip and make an actual report with the demo's already reviewed to help out as much as I can.

quintoshAC work is a fuckload of work

It can be but it's generally not too much if you only got a handful of demos to review.
I'm not part of the UGC team, I just (somewhat) enjoy doing my own investigations on players that others are apprehensive about reporting. Once you've worked out a routine it cuts out most of the stress.
I think I got a good system going and I'd like to think I'm fairly accurate as everyone I've slammed down as cheating happens to be folks who would end up banned from the league.

quintoshAs far as I know they don't even have an AC and league admins get to judge players.

They do, currently it's about 3 or 4 folks

quintoshNone of them knows jackshit about cheats

Since the information of exactly who's on the team isn't public this could be the case for some folks.
I have a general idea of who the peeps on the AC team might be and I can say at least 1 or 2 of them are pretty well informed.

However, I do recall having to explain to a league admin at one point on how wallhack textures work which left me with little faith. But I'm pretty certain this dude isn't on the team though, at least currently...

RondegoWould it help shed some light on the suspicious parts of the demos if they were recorded at a very high frame rate like 240 or 300 (or higher)? Because I've actually never used aim assist, and I don't know exactly how they work. I assume they perfectly track the centers of targets, which would be recorded 1-to-1 on a POV demo, right? That's why I'm wondering if showing a super slow-mo might make things clearer. Maybe in wireframe. I'm not sure what would help at this point.

Shadowplay does not record higher than 60fps
Same goes for OBS if I recall.
I'm pretty sure bandicam doesn't either.

Source: I use shadowplay to record all my videos. I used to use bandicam and OBS but they are terrible.

#214 ESEA Client Update - Always On??? in TF2 General Discussion
miwohonestly you have to be fucking retarded to hate/boycott esea now.

what the fuck are you doing in your bios and kernel and shit that somehow is just now an awful privacy violation? are you worried that kane is gonna steal your naked anime pics and bank passwords that are stored on your motherboard bios?

and if your job requires you to have confidential files, national security secrets, or HIPAA protected documents on your HOME COMPUTER, that you play tf2 and watch porn on, you work for someone who doesn't know what the fuck they're doing with regards to data security and your organization will probably go under by now because they can't afford to give their employees a company lenovo thinkpad.

everyone, EVERY SINGLE PERSON, who is "concerned about software privacy" had better be running tf2 on Arch linux with a framed, RMS signed poster print of a wildebeest on the wall in front of your PC.

I agree with the quoted text
I work IT and Data Security, I deal with confidential shit all the time.
I have a separate laptop AND chromebook (it's perfect for when you're on the road and have to remote into a PC and if it breaks it's NBD since it's a 200 dollar machine) specifically for work.

If you're so damn worried about ESEA's client then just run it and hope shit down does so you can participate in a class-action.

#112 Florida Lan is back for 2015 in TF2 General Discussion
DarkWarrior_Whats wrong with Orlando?

Absolutely nothing.
There's also nothing wrong with wanting to host it in other cities. 2014 was in Pompano, 2015 was in Orlando.
2016 will be one of the 3 cities listed on the survey.
I want to change it up every year.

Many thanks to all who came out. All the players who attended (And prepaid their tickets online) received medals. I'm looking for folks who are willing to do a really good cast of a match or two (They will also receive a medal)
It was a blast meeting all of you and seeing some of the Flan 2014 alumni again. The amount of feedback I receieved has been overwhelming and I'm looking forward to making "FLan 3: The Betus is Real" the biggest event yet!
