bearodactyl-protono ones gonna name names but theres a ton of shit invite players right nowi think you're confusing being bad with being overrated, it's not like people think players on bottom invite teams are world champion material or smt lol
Thing is in eu bottom invite teams become ETF2L champion material in a matter of seasons bc of the lack of competition
HildrethNerd A doesn't think Nerd B is as good as Nerd C and therefore Nerd D who thinks Nerd B is the best Nerd since Nerd E won against Nerd F will get tilted.
Conclusion who gives a fuck.
Hildreth is the scene's version of eeyore
trippaif u actually compare players by absolute skill and not by how good they were for their time ur silly
it's hard to do simply because you can't get them in a server together.
You can't say X is better than Y because it includes things like their opponents, what team they were on, what the pressure of the match was like ect
naturespiritTino_He's won every international lan he's ever participated in and has always had very impressive stats along with it.yightif anything hes slightly underrated
Maybe, I just see lots of people say blaze is the best roamer ever and I am not sure if thats right.
Stats/trophies =//= public view or understanding.

I know this isn't what the thread is about but if you truly believe that players back in season 10 could compete mechanically with invite players today you're extremely delusional. You say that every team had a "star-studded roster" but when no one is good everyone looks good.
Even if you're gonna debate about how good players could have been on current machines/computers they didn't really have high refresh rate monitors and had worse mice.
In general the game was slower back then and with the way the game is played now, a lot of the old school teams would get blown over by aggression. The game literally was easier to play back then.
I feel like your view is formed by the fact you are probably more akin to watching the new era of players, you've seen more the streams and the highlight clips, there's more international lans for showcasing talent so older players who didn't have those don't seem as good. If you think that like TCM would get rolled by svift you're delusional
AntimoonI feel like most of the big name players who are retired are somewhat overrated. There's a big difference between being a great player in season 6 and being a great player now, since the bar has been set much higher. Look at stuff like the classic Reptile frag vid, or Carnage's old videos, and compare that to your average open or IM player now. Things that used to be considered excellence are now considered average play.
That's not to say that the old players were bad, they certainly were great for their time, but it's kinda dumb when people say that those players would still be at the top of invite if they came back.
Mate have you seen prem/invite lineups nowadays, players back then had like 4 insane top teams in their divison with star studded rosters that they had to face and perform against, nowadays like samski is a top player.
Just because the meta has changed doesn't mean they are overrated?
