Yeah, this is a great moment not to burn out like quake, which just ended up full of elitist players who turned off newbies. Noob hype?
Thank you so much for all you've done. Happy birthday!
Is there a fundraiser or anything to give in to in order to get the NA teams over?
Sorry I don't know what's happening too well, I only got into the competitive scene following over the winter. I just want to support a really awesome LAN.
Maincall? I'd love me some maincall :)
Flow: the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity (psych definition). This means that a map with "Flow" results in more involvement. This is achieved through map tweaks that alter gameplay. Fixing sightlines is a mechanical change, which alters a fixed capability: whether or not you can see one place from another. Widening the mid or raising the chokes is a flow change, which alters player movement and positioning choices. One is static, the other is dynamic. Maps needs to consider both.
TLDR; it's a definition, not a judgement.
Smithsoniani can't think of any prominent tf2 youtubers that are against competitive
hopefully they'll bring in some more interest to it
Muselk is hyped, Strife is semi-hyped, Array7 is hyped, and some other smaller ones are really hyped as well.
Lel, 7 in the morning for me. Sure, why not watch.
AvastI don't understand what you are saying.
I may or may not have shit for brains. Ignore that.
marqueeI don't know man, shit still looks kind of fucked.
Yeah, I kinda feel like that. It's kind of a vicious cycle downward in high-echelon TF2, where it's hard to justify putting in the huge time investment without an equally matched payout, but it's hard to justify putting in the payout without seeing the time investment.
Please tell me I'm wrong, and that there is a way that we as a community can make the time investment justifiable (because I'm assuming that Ipkane is not budging beyond his stated support). Is there a competitive tf2 patreon or something that I don't know about? Some charity event that would benefit high-tier players? Anything?
You know lange wants to help VALVe pull this off now :3
LES' GOOOOOO!!!!!!! H Y P E !!!!!
Seriously though, I'm so excited. Also,
DavidTheWinI told you it wasn't dead

Apologies to giraffe and yttrium, I was reading on mobile and missed the "that map" bit. I just tend to get snap defensive when people poke at HL, as I've seen too much genuine bigotry towards it. Hey, thanks for doing all that yttrium.
