The void he will leave behind is immense and unfillable. Godspeed on your return, Sideshow [*]
I'm enamored with all the 3D-printed TF2 figurines they have on that shelf. Makes me want to try printing a few and hand-painting them.
There's not really much else to remark on. I'm glad to hear the update is "around the corner", and I'm reassured to hear that slin has faith in the dev team.
spicy food is great.
my roommate has smoked cigarettes for 10 years so he can't taste shit without a lot of spice on it. I'm not quite there but I've warmed to having everything be pleasantly pungent.
hard to believe Knife Man came out in 2009. the only good album in their awkward transition between deliberately over-dark folk-punk and hackneyed pop-punk.
emperorI still don't understand the novelty of getting all worked up about opinions of where individuals/teams stand in what I consider the bottom of the fish barrel. The title of "Best of Open" feels like such a low bar to fight about, but maybe that's just me.
having goals and celebrating excellence are important even at the low-end my man, that's how you get motivated to improve
Doom 2 via Zandronum if you want multiplayer or GZDoom/PrBoom+ for singleplayer.
Terraria is half-off (5 USD now) so I figure I'll give it a shot.
Counterpoint: when games get longer than ten minutes, noobs get bored of playing competent classes and start doing inexplicable things like switching to lvl-3 Engineer to push Gullywash last (based on a true story).
I've had great experiences with strangers in MM (usually joining as a 4- or 5- stack and finding our 6th surprisingly competent) and end with us adding each other on steam for them to join our party, but I've also had games where the 6th was both braindead and indignant that anyone would suggest they change strategies, and if I had to do a Bo5 with them I'd just want to abandon.
Vegan_Meatwhy don't you stop playing copyrighted muzak?
I think tftv has a deal worked out with a production music library iirc, but ContentID is pretty overzealous and mutes stuff that is licensed sometimes.
If I'm wrong and it's always just copyrighted music anyway, perhaps it's worth considering switching to sources of Creative Commons or otherwise permissibly licensed music for videos that will be archived? There's a podcast dedicated to finding good CC-licensed music too if that helps, they always link their sources: http://www.amateurzen.us/
I've only ever enjoyed MGE but I've also never played against strangers in MGE. Maybe try only playing with some buddies around your skill level? I don't mind even mind getting 20-5'd every now and then if it's by someone who makes me laugh and isn't an asshole.
I had a problem like this once after moving to a new case. Turns out the 1¢ diode inside my case's power button was faulty and wouldn't send any TURN ON electrical signals to the motherboard.
Never seen that before. Likely some internal testing/server maintenance? :P
Even if it were just a few hours a week instead of 24/7 it'd still be cool. Could possibly do a "This Day in Comp TF2 History" thing and rerun a VOD from a match that was played exactly 3-4-5-etc. years ago, even if just on nights when there's no live matches scheduled to be streamed.
Re-evaluating VODs/old games is a lot of fun, especially with live chat. There's nothing worse than seeing a play happen that both the casters and chat missed but you can't say anything cuz it's in the past (like I just saw an Invite scout die to a roller last week in a streamed match and no one caught it).
aww fuck I took a different way home from work today and walked by a Taco Bell I didn't know existed, if only I'd seen this thread
