try running it in strobed 120hz. I find it much easier on the eyes after playing for a while and it supposedly results in even lower motion blur.
Dunno how you set it up, but this is what I use.

don't suppose anyone has what this poster was originally looking for?
I use the green static crosshair, I'l provide a screenshot if anyone can help, I'm sure theres a lot of cs players playign tf2, so It can't just be me that's looking for it.
chojjeThe fences are problematic - they add a lot of visual noise to the map which makes it confusing for newer players... ...The idea is to simplify the visuals
I am very pleased with this, I'v never liked watching casts of matches on Snakewater because it's so visually cluttered, I think this will go a long way to getting it in as an official map. (also making it easier to push into and out of last would be nice)
Honestly for people looking for build help i don't think it hurts for them to make their own topics, but seen as my parts are finally arriving on Monday/Tuesday I may as well kick off the topic for anyone that's interested. Here's what I'm building, total overkill I know, but I had the money for once so I thought I'd spend it before it disappears.
Video Card:
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3X OC, 4GB GDDR5
I love when there are little audio clips of casters, especially for lan's where you can hear the crowd.
I like to be able to hear the sound of the weapons, even if it's only low volume. sometimes the editors even sync it with the music a bit, which can be cool providing they don't go overboard with it.
I also (specific to tf2) like every now and again (like once per video) a clip of a scout hopping and spinning around the place or a solider jumping around with a load of motion blur and shit just to show how fast paced it is. (like you did with that clip of clockwork in the i46 documentary)
nice writeup lads, Hoping to see a lot of pyro PoV's on youtube this season from Huey & DJC.
yes, but lets face it if you're comparing yourself to a general pub player rather than a competitive player everyone on this forum was probably above average when they first installed the game.
jerryjigglerYea and save money by skipping the bad versions of windows which is every other. Just skip windows 8
they're starting to get stingy with the dx eleven versions for windows 7 now though. and they've made win 8 a lot cheaper. Aside from the stupid tablet menu's and other visual crap I'v been told it doesn't run badly, and you can get plugins to remove them.
All in all, If you already have win7 you're better off keeping it, but with the price difference it could be worth just getting win8 if you're buying new. (seen as it's not has the performance issues of vista or millennium edition, Both of which I'v owned in the past)
yukiPlatinumMaybe they finally make granary sides even and badlands doorframes solid
And fix goddamn roller doors that get stuck when rolling out on granary.
I think it's a lot worse cause of your ping, when I play on US servers this happens almost every time, but if I play on EU it's fine.
maybe you could alternate weeks with pledge's podcast?
that way we could still get our fix weekly.
lamefxA lot of you are talking in generics. Get some specific examples with demo or screenshot proof. They're not gonna take time to look for these bugs on their own.
I think you should make a modded thread where you simply remove posts that don't follow the required format.
mirelin, worst anonymous undercover informant ever. It's a good thing you don't play spy.
I instinctively read the whole thing in his voice.
enigmawhat about a compromise? same concept -- unlock picks and bans -- but with an optional lobby cap of 12 instead of 18.
surely a simple option select the player limit isn't too much to ask for if the primary issue is a limited amount of time/resources?
but then you have to explain the different class limits to the children. and the class balance.
you think anyone with a single clue as to what they're doing is going to have fun if their team rolls out to mid with a spy instead of a demoman and an engineer building on last instead of a pocket?
there's more to it than just making lobbies with 12 slots.
