He's picking up an old abandoned map, not stealing it. The post is to ask what parts should be salvaged and what drastically needs to be changed. He's just asking for input and advice. "obviously use what works and makes a good map" is not useful or constructive at all.
My 2 cents: I'm also not a huge fan of the straightness, I'd say the first thing you need to do is take second/last and rotate both sides 90 degrees up into a U shape. This'll give you lots of opportunities to change up the entrances to mid so that it no longer feels like process apart from the point (which should be fairly easy to change up, maybe highground/healthpack at the bottom of the U end of mid?). You also need to switch up the routes from 2nd to last, but I'd start with mid first. Definitely keep working on this map instead of starting from scratch and incorporating elements, why make extra work for yourself?
