#222 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion
MikeikeikeikeikeikeMagusYeah, fuck you guys for not making the choice I want! If you all would just choose what I want, then we wouldn't have to leave ESEA!that's what i was going for thank youFzeroI am one of those people that have been playing TF2 since the first CEVO and even TWL, I really don't remember too many problems with them. The matches ran fine and so did paladin (minus the creepy goodbye .wav) Can someone that was around back then too, explain why it was so poor? What mainly happened was that CEVO and TWL, being free, was lackluster compared to ESEA so people stopped playing in it.

Yes, CEVO fell apart and dropped TF2 after people stopped really playing in that league, but how is that ANY different than what ESEA is saying that they are going to do if more people don't join this season?

I don't mind people playing both, but I do find it odd that no one is seeing the comparisons here. Also, please stop saying that the game will die. This game is almost 100% funded from the community that plays it. If some people decided that they have to leave if there is no LAN, it makes me feel they ONLY play for that reason and not for the enjoyment of the game itself.

TLDR
Play both leagues, have fun, and make your decision(s) off how this season pans out. I am personally going to play CEVO, since it's my only choice now.

I'm saying fuck you to the people only going for cevo because they're just mad at ESEA so they're killing the league. it hurts the community too you dingle berry.
so what if you feel that way, doesn't mean you're right does it? they probably enjoy the game, that's why they're playing it and to have a LAN let's them enjoy it more in other ways that you don't see apparently

I am not completely sure that you're unable to read an entire paragraph, or just unwilling, but that is not what I said at all. If you are able to read more than the last 2-3 lines of text, you would understand a lot more than what you do.

I can only assume that you drank the whole bottle of vodka in order to miss completely what I said. While I understand completely that it happens, maybe it's best you take a look at it tomorrow. I've had to do that a few times, just a few :P

#211 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion
MikeikeikeikeikeikeI thought the TF2 community cared about each other, and the future of it's game. The community is literally killing themselves to make a point. ESEA probably already gets the point lol

Fuck you guys who registered on CEVO and not ESEA, you're just ruining your own game.

Don't get me wrong, I hate ESEA. But I hate CEVO more. I tried CEVO with Counter-Strike, much worse than ESEA...

#14 EVE Online? Thoughts? in Other Games
hooliit's a full-time job

This is very true. My friend and I tried it in college, he would set alarm clocks in the middle of the night for training. After the huge learning curve and the amount of time it takes to learn, you end up spending way too much time playing. Basically, if you only have a hour or two to play a night, it's unlikely you will really enjoy it.

#22 Comcast to buy Time Warner Cable in Hardware
MagikarpAlthough I don't understand the current view on Comcast by many, I must say that I've been a user of Comcast for the past few years and it's been great. I live in Texas and generally I hear only two ISPs people have, Comcast and AT&T. Generally my friends who game with me that have Comcast have great connection as opposed to my friends who have AT&T, so I always assumed Comcast was one of the best down here or at least decent. Whenever I have problems with Comcast, I'd call them up and they would quickly resolve it, so the support is alright also.

Isn't ATT only DSL and has no FIOS lines? While cable has issues, DSL will normally be worse, I don't think it's a good comparison.

#28 rust players? in Other Games

Fun game, but too easy to gain end game items. Just joined a server that drop rate for weapons is extremely low, while I find to more fun, it's hard to get it populated.

Already said this in the last TWC post, it's unlikely for TWC to accept at the share price.

#7 How to explain things to my ISP in Off Topic

Had that problem with TWC about a year or two ago. This is what I did to get it fixed (results may very) The thing that you can do when you call is know what you are talking about, they will usually then bump you too level 2 tech. Then go over their head with tech knowledge, you will then get to level 3 tech. These people get very little calls, and generally know their stuff. I ended up talking to one dude for about an hour about what it could be, ideas, and generally be helpful as I could by giving them the bad routers company. Basically, since they get very little calls and you're being nice, they ended up giving me the number directly to level 3 tech. Which has been very helpful over the years. They flagged the router, but the issue is that they won't force a company to swap out unless they get enough flags/complaints. So they called, or I called them, every day for a week. Finally, they had enough to force the company to fix it.

As they explained it, it's shitty being in that position. Since not many users would understand routing issue, since most people wouldn't notice. This means that VERY little people complain, meaning it doesn't get fixed often.
