#60 Best location for NA tf2 lan. in TF2 General Discussion

I said this a long time ago, but Columbus, Ohio. The reason is simple; Every single flight is a lot cheaper than Cleveland/NE and renting out arenas are generally cheap.
The only reason that I say here is how cheap it is to rent out locations, while the flights are cheap too. I will also say that Chic is a good choice too but what is the price of the event rental?

The biggest joke of ESEA is having a event at LAN is 20X more expensive to get there than the venue. Most people fly more miles to get to Dallas and yet they don't quite get that. Consider this, the prize pot can be SMALLER with more money to the players, if they choose to have it at a location that is 500 miles away from most people.

TL;DR
Texas is one of the worst spots to have a LAN. All flights are expensive since it's really only a HUB for international travel to S.America. Adding on the fact that's the miles for the majority of American and Canadian players, when it comes to population density, it's a lot further away.

The new HTC is getting great reviews, and the specs seem really good.

#51 ESEA S16 - half of the season in TF2 General Discussion
kuzashooter, we've been running out of selectable servers on actual match nights since season 5.

TBH, this is very true. I submitted a ticket every single season, and I would always get "we will add servers when it is needed" response. I've created threads on ESEA, TF.TV, natf2, hell even gotfrag. A lot of the server locations make zero sense too.

Edit- It's partly all due to having a monopoly on the gaming scene. Without competition, they can say stagnant forever without even caring about what people really want. Look at TWC/Comcast in the US, they have been using a backbone that is 20 years old. Try complaining, they really don't give a shit since you have no where else to go.

pine_beetleThe reason I said that is because there is no right answer to your question. It's silly to even ask... Every high school in the world has different levels of bullying unless there are people on this forum that went to the high school you attended, even there could be bullying they/you aren't aware of when you attended.

Not really. There isn't a right or wrong answer, however, with enough of a sample size that is spread across the country, (world in this case) you can see a general pattern. That was what I was shooting for.

pine_beetleAll bullying is gone Fzero. It happened the day Obama took office.

I'm not saying that. To me it's like this. My parents would always explain that when they were in HS, there would be a lot of fights. When I got to HS, there was some, but not many. Mainly due to the fact of fear of being sued and/or arrested. As my parents would explain that fist fights were generally broken up by police, but generally, you would not go to jail for it.

If it was like that 15 years ago, I can only assume that it's a lot worse by now. Instead of wondering, I figured I would just ask the students here.

scrimshawFzeroIs everything considered bullying these days?p sure you offered to pay for mason to fly to your house and box cuz he was mean on the forums

See that is more like traditional bullying, like physical violence. I was more wondering when mocking turned into bullying. Is there even physical bullying in high school anymore?

Edit- I'm not saying it's good, just wondering how much has changed.

#4 Looking for mouse similar to G500 in Hardware
flatlineHey tftv,

My Logitech G500 is starting to die (threaded cords OP) and I'm looking to get on the market for a similar mouse, one that I can use without getting used to a new type of grip or something.

I use 1100 dpi if it matters.

You could buy mine if you want. Hated the feel, and I was able to remake a working G5 from failed parts.

I think I regret a lot in my life. Trying to sleep at night is when I start to think about it, which causes me to have trouble falling asleep.

I read somewhere that prom attendance is down to the point of schools are considering no longer even having them, is this true? I think it was around 50% when I graduated in 2002(I think)

I don't want to be that guy, but prom really isn't that big of a deal. If you want to go with her, just ask.

#34 buying a car, help! in Off Topic
synchrokuzaNot much feels better than buying a brand new car. That's how they get you. But down the road when that first attraction has worn off, you'll look at how much you actually paid for the car in payments and how much value the car has lost in as little as 2 years it will blow your mind.Every time I see/get into my car I feel great about getting it brand new, plus I really liked the 2014 model better than the earlier ones.

The flip side is that I'm leasing, so I'll end up getting another car in a few years, but commuting 80 miles every day doesn't really afford you that option, sadly.

Starting leasing cars about 7-8 years ago, and I really love it. While you never own your car, if you shop around you can really good monthly payments. Example, I called a couple places about best lease price for 2012 Chevy equinox and was getting about 300-400 for fully loaded. Which means they could knock off another 50 bucks from all those offers, went back to the first dealership we saw and told them the most we would spend was 200 a month. It took the finance guy about 3 hours of searching different ways using manufacturing discounts to come up with that price.

Also, never put ANY money down. It doesn't actually help you negotiate a better price.
