I never knew when I got drunk with friends on Christmas Eve 2007 and played this little game that it would shape my life so much
Cheers
This is a real question -
Is this something that exists in other eSports? Players ALWAYS being late for scrims and matches?
Thanks for these kind words. I read them after I had just finished all my crying from the finale, and honestly the kindness here made me tear up again. I'm glad folks enjoyed the show, and thanks again for the love. It means a lot.
i'm not trying to be a dickhead here but do you have a cell phone? those tend to tell time, and also have a stopwatch, timer and alarm. then you could get a Fitbit or something for quickly checking the time and also to encourage you to walk and shit. that's my setup and i like it, personally.
DarkNecridhooliHas it ever not been extended? serious
I think this is the first time it hasn't been in ~6 years. I don't recall Season 8 being extended anyways.
But I mean.. they say every season it will not be extended and then it tends to be. I think that was hooli's point
Karleither way you have had the game open for 7 hours every day assuming you started playing tf2 the same day you made your account. I don't know how an adult would have time for that
you know it's bad when Karl is lecturing you on being an adult
Just looked on the map and you'll be fine - Arden Hotel isn't that far from the Crowne Plaza, where I was last year. It's a pretty straightforward walk. Seems like you'll cross a railway but I don't imagine that's a huge issue. Most of your walk will actually be inside the NEC rather than outside! If you walk it on the first night and aren't comfortable, again you can either meet up with gamers or get an Uber for cheap or whatever.

LAN is great - you can definitely meet people if you just try a little bit! There will be friendly folks of all ages around the TF2 area.
I'm not saying it's 100% but walking to and from hotels in the area is pretty safe and commonplace during LAN. It's dark but there's ample lighting all around the area. Lots of folks do it. If you're super uncomfortable, you could always just get a quick Uber though.
I'd love how good he was as a sniper if it wasn't constantly against me! But for real he's very good at that
