In fact, I publicly declared that I would not bother pointlessly predicting the release date and will wait patiently like everyone else. I'll gladly give a $1000 reward to anyone who can prove that I claimed the update would come out today.

damn, Bren and I walked around on Monday i guess and we must have missed the CanFo giving shit away time. hopefully he's back with more shit and we can try early

The days of VTV and TFTV bidding on who gets to do iSeries are behind us. Essentials wanted to do it. So they're doing it. There were no competing production crews.

Getawhale's apparently being cryptic about it (I understand what he's saying but whatever), but I'm 90% sure Gnomes aren't going to LAN. No idea how much impact b4nny's statements actually had on that.
Yeah I mean my only point was that there has been no fundraiser, and that's not some top-secret thing. If there was a fundraiser, people would have seen and heard about it.
Marm tried hard to get a sponsor who could spot the money up front for the plane tickets/hotel for his team, since they didn't all have the money/credit cards/whatever to buy them up front themselves. Once he found a sponsor, they would do the fundraiser here and wherever and pay back the sponsor money from the fundraiser. Even though he busted his ass super hard doing the legwork, I'm guessing no sponsor showed enough interest and it kinda just died. Pretty unfortunate.

ymRaisinSo a really cool guy started a fundraiser for his team to go to LAN, which made people hyped. However, another player pointed out that the team featured two players with questionable histories (one was a confirmed scammer, another used donation money to buy a bong), which the team leader, who, again, was a really cool guy, was upset by, saying (correctly) that those players would not handle the money, and that the player calling his team out was hurting their chances of going to LAN. Tensions escalated further when the player calling the team out started his own fundraiser a few days later, raising concerns as to the intentions of him calling out the two players. Luckily, both teams eventually secured the capital necessary for their trips to LAN (or, at least, I think they did).
