Yo eXtine, what...opinions are you looking for us to voice? About the tourny registration structure?
I dunno about you guys but I think moving away from IRC interfaces counts as "progress".
Dungeon Defenders is a good one.
*bump*
The cash prizes are TBD - if we want something good, we probably want teams registered. Even if you don't have a full roster, make a "clan" and register it in the tourny to start boosting the numbers.
alfunksothis update fucked a lot of shit up, at one point my team mates just turned into hats while scrimming
Evolution
Montreal has Quebec liquor laws, Toronto has Ontario laws.
Quebec: Can buy alcohol in convenience stores along with provincial liquor stores, lower prices on draught, stop serving alcohol at 3am, drinking age is 18 (doesn't matter to me, I'm in mah 20s)
Ontario: Can only buy alcohol in liquor or beer stores owned by the province (+ a few random stores) which are scarcely distributed, higher prices on draught, stop serving alcohol at 2am, drinking age is 19.
Where to host a LAN? :P
dope-wolfsomeone get a LAN going on in ontario...
http://www.cbc.ca/thisisthat/blog/2012/12/12/montreal-bylaw-requires-dogs-to-understand-commands-in-both-official-languages/
they want dogs in Quebec to listen to english and french commands or else you get fined.... my dog listens to english sorry bloq... fuck off... someone start a Toronto LAN.. I will be there. cinq= only good QC representing. everyone else can fuck off
Ontario LAN would do well.
LOL guys that's a satire piece.
(Also, the Parti Quebecois runs the province - the Bloq Quebecois is a federal party and got decimated during the last election)
Need a damn floor plan first :P I'm guessing from the interest here that we'll need a bit of a bigger setup than last time. If the floor plan looks the same, then adding Row N to the mix would be a good idea (pretty sure that was the one to the backs of people in row O and that row P was the one closest to the wall)
Right on - that's half a block from the hotel I was mentioning. I don't think I've ever see a hotel list "private bath" as something which you can choose to pay for or do without, lol.
dashner
Which hotel is this?
I just stayed in Montreal over the weekend... I believe he's probably referring to the Quality Inn Downtown on Crescent Street. That's where I stayed the last few nights. If I had booked far enough in advance it would have only been $80/night and there's a brew pub and other pubs directly opposite the hotel, along with a convenience store (for those unfamiliar with Quebec, it's place to buy beer in Quebec).
Also, Peel Pub on Peel St not far from ETS has decent prices on 140oz pitchers... yeh! And cheap/decent food.
Added. I know x3 from before TF2 days and I play scout in 6s. Also attended last year's LAN.
TurinPut me down as maybe going, depends on how fast I can get my passport through ...
Does it really take that long to get a passport in the USA? The LAN's in March. :P
I'll be attending (from Ottawa) but no idea what transportation mode will be used yet.
Gonna be there with a team this time. Can't wait!
