#4 Mouse Feet in Hardware

My DA has lost its mouse feet 5 month after i bought it, still using it 2 years later without mouse feet, wanted to buy new feet back then but was to expensive for my taste so i just continued to use it without feet, works good enough

Mouse feet are 100% a necessity, at least so you don't constantly catch on your mousepad.

never happened

it probably does wear out a mouse pad faster though since it uses way more off the underside of the mouse on the pad surface

but catching on the pad has never happened to me, if the underside off the mouse is smooth there is nothing to catch on to

also if i order from razer's site

Subtotal*: 9.99€
Est. Shipping*: 11.40€
Total: 21.39€
*Including VAT

:/

idecided that investing in a new mouse was better for me instead off putting 22 buck towards just feet, but that was almost half a year ago and i still have no clue what mouse to get, i like the shape off the DA but i kinda want a diff mouse that has the same feel or close to it

#230 Comanglia's Config / FPS Guide in Customization
RiotxEP1CWhat happened to the toaster config?

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Comanglialeonwhat happened to the toaster config link?ComangliaI really should take the potato config down, there's alot of people who use it when they probably shouldn't
To many people were downloading it thinking it was the best one for them when it wasn't. I'd imagine less than 0.5% of the ENTIRE TF2 userbase should actually use that config.

I made that config for people who we on old netbooks with on chip GPUs literally people with fullsize laptops that are relatively new or even most desktops from the Windows XP era should be using the mid-quality PC one.

#32 i'm looking for a new GFXcard (nvidia vs amd) in Hardware
SetsulWhich 980 Ti?
If you think it's too loud set a lower fan curve.
If the boost clock is limited by temperature and you don't mind it becoming slightly louder set a more aggressive fan curve.

i'm not worried about it being loud, i'm always wearing a headset its more for temps tbh
under load it goes to 73/74 wich is normal i guess, fans start turning after 60/65c

would it wear the fans out quicker if i would let em turn at around 40c ? at maybe 30% or 20%

i never messed with fan curves before so i'm not sure if i schould just keep default card fan curve or make a custom one

i have the iChill GTX 980Ti Airboss X3 Ultra

like i said loudness is not a problem for me, just curious if the fans would wear out way faster if i woudl lett em turn more

#2 Mid-high spec PC runs TF2 poorly? in Hardware
SKELeTRONSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It's pretty much obvious that TF2 is a poorly optimized game right?
My current Build is:
CPU: AMD Athlon x4 860k
Video Card: GTX 960
RAM: 12gb ddr3 1866mhz
STORAGE: 3TB WD Black
other stuff...

I run tf2 at lowest at dxlevel 81 with stabby's config (modified for multi-core) and get 40-50 fps IN SPAWN
I run it at highest at dxlevel 98 no graphical configs 60-80 in spawn and 20-80 in battle and sub 40 avg
and everything in-between those are just as bad and wonky......

I'll take any help I can get pls I love tf2 but I cant run it.

edit 1: Mind you I can run other games just finep

why did u make a new post ? :/

anyway the reason u might run other games fine is because those use more off the GPU power ?

TF2 uses most CPU, and AMD in my personel experience didnt do great with TF2 <--- plz dont make it into AMD and intel war its just my experience with it sorry :)

SKELeTRONErenJaySwitch to intel :/I'd have to get an i5 at least to avoid bottlenecks
plus a motherboard

a lot of money homie

deff a lot off money but so worth it

if TF2 would only use more of the gfxcard :C

#27 i'm looking for a new GFXcard (nvidia vs amd) in Hardware
SetsulIf you run out of power it'll shut off. There is no risk.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3hm96h
http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator will give you an even more accurate, and even lower number (448W).

installed the card not problems so far :D

another question though probably silly question but imma ask anyways xD
would it be wise to set up a custom fan curve for my 980 ti ?

if so what would be a decent fan curve to use ?

SetsulPSU requirements are bullshit because of horribly overrated PSUs that fold when you try to pull their rated wattage.
I'm assuming it's a Corsair GS600 which is ok. Not great, but definitely capable of supplying 600W.
A 980 Ti only pulls ~230W. Your total build should be <450W. Overclocked a bit more, but definitely not 600W.
No need for a new PSU. Especially not a 750W one.

yes its a Corsair GS600

:O
they've bin telling me that its best because off multiple HDD's that i'm running, that 600 would probs not be enough

1 SSD and 3 normal HDD's plus the fans and a corsair H100 for the CPU

so i didnt want to risk anything getting dammaged because running out off power or whatever,

PC parts are not really cheap so taking a risk is not really something i want to do :/
wish there was a way off knowing what my PC uses power wise xD

don't get me wrong though, i apreciate the comment i really really do u obviously know a hel of a lot more then me about this stuff, its just that i want to be cautious because off the amount of money it all costs

#23 i'm looking for a new GFXcard (nvidia vs amd) in Hardware

So small update.

i bought a GTX 980 TI

now up to a new PSU cause card prolly to strong xD
still got one off the early GS600 PSU's

card min requirement is 600w, but tbh i dont wanna risk it
gonna get a 750w PSU before i jam the card in the PC :)

thx for all the responses though verry appreciated

#4 an issue with your computer is blocking the vac in Customization
floeyHappened to me a couple weeks ago, all you can really do is wait it out. or try to
Exit Steam.
Click Start > Run (Windows Key + R)
Type the following command:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair

or
Exit Steam
Delete folder <PATH_TO_STEAM>/appcache/
Open Steam

i had the issue after i upgraded to win10 and the repair thingy fixed it for me back then
but only after a PC restart though, so keep in mind that the repair thing might only work after u restart your PC

390X and 980 are options if a 980 Ti is overkill, but a 390 doesn't quite cut it.

interesting
so i think i'm gonna choose one off those then.

Still hanging more towards a nvidia card,
just because i've always had a nvidia card and never ran into trouble before,
still the 390x seems pretty good but after reading about people having a lot off driver issues and bsod's, maybe those where old post's though, not sure about these newer cards and drivers,

but is it true that AMD has better DX12 support?
or is that just like saying mine is better then yours without actual proof ?

yttriumWhat kinds of games will you be playing, at what settings, and with what budget?

Gunna need a little more info here.

pretty much all the newer games that are gonna come/are out out i guess
settings depent on what my PC could handle paired with a good GFXcard right ?

wanted to keep the price at around 500 i can go up to 800-ish if really needed

#1 i'm looking for a new GFXcard (nvidia vs amd) in Hardware

So here is the thing
i'm not really a PC geek so i'm struggling a little
i've bin asking around on what card i schould get for my PC

now the answers i get are devided one says u schould get a AMD card because it has better DX12 support.
the other says take nvidia because AMD cards have always given me trouble (drivers, etc, etc i have actualy searched and i did find people with more problems on AMD then nvidia). !?!?!?

this is what i have now.

Processor i7-4790K 4.GHz
MoBo MSI Z97 MPower
Memory Corsair Vengeance 8. GB
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570

AMD friend now tells me to wait for newer series cards or get a (R9390X-DC2-8GD5).
nvidia friend tells me to get a 970 or 980

i'm looking for a card with atleast 4GB or more (preferably more for future games maybe ?)

as i said i'm not a PC geek and i'd like some more advice before i buy something :)
