OrdooMy heart wants Street Hoops to win, but my brain is telling me that eLevate probably will
Hoping this will be a better match to watch than Street Hopes vs. Ding Dong Daddies.
lucifer-What are some of the best training shoes to get? I have been using nike free runs and I'm looking to get a different pair
Saucony Kinvara 5. These are some excellent cross country shoes that many trainers/athletes prefer to use for any kind of terrain. They are very light weight, breathe well, and have a sturdy make. The price also isn't too bad.
Don't try to ramp up your mileage too fast. The most common problem cross country runners have is developing shin splints from over exerting themselves. If you're consistently in extreme pain from running in your calf area check with your coach about what to do about it. Often times people that overwork an already damaged leg will get a stress fracture that puts them in a boot for a good while
Other than that, drink lots of water and make sure you have proper running footwear. Solid XC running shoes are vital to anyone who wants to be a serious long distance runner.
Not bad!
I finished XC practice then had to go to cross fit training for another 2 hours. My shinsplints are getting worse so I'll probably have to take some time off, but I'm okay with that. I've just ordered a couple parts for the computer I'm building, and I'm really excited to have those come in.
I also just figured out that the music group c2c make some pretty awesome music.
tyrone vs b4nny was a fun way to end the night for me

The best game I've ever played is chrono trigger. It's got a killer soundtrack, a complex and intriguing plot, and has the most original and fresh feel that I"ve ever experienced while playing a game.
I'll try to answer each person individually. I really appreciate all the advice.
GetawhaleHow old are you? Just so you know.........
I'm 17, and a senior in high school. As for hobbies and what not that could turn into a career I suppose economics is something that I enjoy. I'm going to research that more now, since I have the day off from school.
trypGo out and find something you love and want to pursue. do it.
Fairly hard to do. My schedule is pretty tight, but I've been gradually trying new things in clubs. Nothing fun so far, but I guess that's all part of the process.
CasualThe cold fact is that over half of college students will change their major at least once before they graduate; deciding isn't easy.
I've heard this statistic a lot, and to be honest it's something that kind of annoys me. I hate the idea of going into college for longer than I have to, but I guess that's probably what'll end up happening.
eXhibitMost people coming out of high school who seem to have a definite idea of what they want to do later realize they made that commitment too early. Take your time to find the things you value and start there.
Can't really say I value too much. As odd as that sounds, I just don't particularly care for any of the things I'm currently involved in.
ShankyI don't know how well this would work for you, but I've found that having good mates at school is always a pretty good way to get excited.
I like to believe I have a pretty close knit group of friends, but we're all going off to different colleges after this school year ends.
vanillaIt's a pretty great feeling to find something that you are passionate about.
I play piano and saxophone, but I've never really considered playing those professionally. (Not good enough for 1, and don't love music enough to dedicate myself to a career in it for another)
ExquisiteStoneTravel, go backpacking, fun & inspiring (maybe?)
I've actually considered this. There's a trip to Spain in the spring that I'd love to go on with my school.
loljkLike have you considered the fact that you may be depressed and maybe over stressed with too many activities?
I wouldn't call my state of mind depression, just seriously thinking about my future. I've always been pretty solid about managing my activities so I don't think I'm stretched too thin.
smzii know i might sound crazy to post this on a gaming website but find a girlfriend/boyfriend whatever your preference is
I'm a straight male, but I don't think having a girlfriend just to have a girlfriend is the correct path for me. I get no joy from meaningless relationships that are hormone driven.
drakThat being said, I have one suggestion for you to try, and I'm sure something good will come of it:Meditate......
I'm actually going to try this. I've never really sat still for a long-ish period of time and reflected on my everyday schedule.
TheFragileIt just honestly sounds like your everyday activities seem redundant to you, so add something new.
My schedule has gotten pretty stagnant, so I'm going to swap out a couple old activities for new ones. Variety is the spice of life I guess. I'm finishing up with Boy Scouts (I take my Eagle Scout board of review in a few weeks) so that'll free up some time as I've been pretty active with that.
So I'm writing this at 2 AM while my judgement is clouded, and I'm bored out of my mind.
So I've recently been really bored with school, and pretty much with life in general. I play video games because my every day life is pretty uninteresting. Which is odd to me, since I do a ton of stuff. I run cross country, play soccer, and do a lot of activities that are supposed to be fun and engaging. In 1 year I go off to college to get a degree I don't really care about.
I've always tried to experiment with new stuff, but I always end up quitting it because it never captivates my imagination. Whenever I think about the future I end up getting annoyed and frustrated because everyone around me seems to have a definite idea about they want to do while I'm still messing around in school completely confused as to what I'm supposed to be doing.
So yeah. Anyone have any ideas for what I should try?
