Just a few weeks ago, Killing said our numbers were good.

PankeymanHow good is Alfa at being the medic? Think he'd be down with joining my team? We are all very nice and friendly and like to tell jokes and have a good time.
I'm a better Highlander Medic.
MumaWhat are the odds we'll get a 24/7 alfa cam?

Excited to watch this match!
Anyone need a Medic? I'll pitch in.
What a pocket
Hey guys, I'm interested in becoming more active in 6s. I've generally held back from playing in ESEA because of both monetary and time commitments. However, I would like to play as much as I can, so I want to find a team as a backup.
I play Medic, and for 6s, it's all I'd really be interested in.
While I have not played 6s actively, I've had the unfortunate experience of playing Highlander Medic, for five seasons now (Just finished my third season as a Silver scrub). I cry every time I get facestabbed.
Feel free to hit me up if you're looking for a backup Medic.
Thanks!
Really great work, I couldn't stand to go through that many clips that many times, so awesome on you!
Keep up the good work!
Had the privilege of wearing the Pocket Medic at GXL. 11/10 would Medic again.
Bill's a really nice guy and you should pick him up because he's good and carries any Medic to immortality.

When I saw the thread title "scrub detector", I thought it meant detecting actual scrublords, not just cheaters, damn.
Good work nonetheless, let's keep places like TF2C as cheater-free as possible.
Challenge people with maturity, and challenge people with skill. Younger players do thrive around here, if they can use their skills to their advantage.
Points:
- They don't talk about Highlander, or UGC at all in ESEA. It's an unspoken, but highly forbidden subject.
- Every class that is part of the 6s core (Scout, Soldier, Demo, and Medic) tends to be considered worse in Highlander (I mean, as a Medic, do you really want three more people on you, two being 24/7 Sniper and Spy?)
- Weapons like Soda Popper have great advantages and great disadvantages. Soda Popper's greatest disadvantage is if you're versing a Scout who's running stock, you're screwed. But if you can avoid Scout v. Scouts, which aren't incredibly difficult in Highlander, have fun abusing the hell out of that thing.
The title doesn't really match its first post, but I guess it should be explained:
ESEA is already close to not wanting to support 6s TF2, and given the burden of Highlander, there's no way ESEA would ever want to take it on.
Some of the more "serious" players in Highlander use the potentially abusable weapons. Ibby could be an example, I suppose.
Highlander's major component is adaptability. Learning to deal with stupid weapons and strategies is part of that format's game. If you want stability, 6s is your place.
gargleburryif it isn't then will gxl lan still host a NA finals of some sort?
NA UGC 6v6 finals for all those Plat 6v6 roster riders....
AlkalineIf a newer and less experienced team from NA (looking at you, 20b and Elev) or Australia (maybe the team that won last season or a new superteam?) were to prove that they're really motivated and are going to work really hard to become the best they can possibly be, then I would unhesitatingly give as much as I could possibly spare to their fundraiser. Don't get me wrong, I love watching top level TF2 and I'll give to the fundraiser no matter who's going. But my point is just that I would rather see 20b train really hard, give it their all, and lose in the final than see 4g win again with little effort (ideally we would send 2 teams again and get to see both, but you get my point).
While I do agree for the most part with this point, let's not travel into the territory of "down with Froyotech" too quickly.
Froyotech has, and continues to dominate the ESEA scene, and sure, there are good and bad reasons for that. However, their constant success has led to somewhat bitter reaction from the community, and some of that is understandable, given how often some members on the team practice.
Given the nature of TF2, we can't expect the majority of the community to put TF2 over work or school, so when we find people who can dedicate many hours to the game; good on them, you gained a lucky advantage, and many players will not be willing or able to compete with you off this fact alone.
Froyo may be the best, but it's hard to stay the best when nobody else around you can raise the bar just a little higher. I believe it may be in the best interests of sustainability that other top teams get opportunities to compete in these competitions. In future ESEA seasons as well, it may be worth a consideration to see Froyo's core spread amongst multiple teams instead of being one super team.
This is a topic for a thread in itself, but it ties into Alkaline's point of making way for not only others at the top, but a new generation of players.
