b4nny To clarify, just put the keys in on scrap.tf, the wrap and items will come in to play later when we reach out to you with all the trade offer information.
If I would like to put 6 keys in total (to have 3 items signed by 3 separate froyo members) to the fundraiser, should I do 3 separate 2 key donations or just 1 single donation with all of the keys? Judging from your answer it seems like putting all 6 in is what's better but I'd just like to make sure that's what should be done

welcome back
EricKonceptyou may not feel like it, but you're certainly coming off as that. That's like four people so far who have shared that sentiment but nobody has pointed out exactly what it is I've done wrong. At this point I mostly feel guilty for derailing this thread, although I feel it necessary to defend myself.
I never said you did anything wrong, nor am I going to say you're doing anything wrong, because that would make me look like an ass at this point. But what people are calling you out for is making Hypnotize appear to be the one at fault because a few things are changed from your apparent "correct version" of a hud.
EricHypnotizeSome examples of """"modifications"""" I made?I haven't checked the majority of your HUDs but I can tell you that Broeselhud comes with low-ammo warning off by default. Your KNHUD is based off an old version, the newest official KNHUD looks more like Gunblade's version but without the background on the scoreboard (perhaps other things too, I forget). BXHUD shouldn't have a background under the scoreboard either.
Point is, I don't remember every little thing that you modified or grabbed from unofficial sources, so it's almost impossible for me to actually reverse-engineer the HUDs to look the way they're supposed to. No need to get snarky with the quotation marks, I'm aware you most likely made these mistakes on accident.

These "mistakes" aren't exactly ones that Hypnotize has made. People have put in requests, given him a download for the hud itself (regardless of whether or not it was an official source or not), and waited for him to update the hud.
In simple terms, all I did was request an update for KNHUD and BXHUD. However, since both of these HUDs are already being maintained, this is an understandably confusing proposal (as demonstrated by his inquisitive replies), which prompted me to elaborate (per his request) as to exactly what I was asking for and why. In no way in this thread have I been criticizing his efforts or decisions. All I've done is make impartial observations and appropriate requests.
The request that I see you've made is for Hypnotize to update 2 huds that have already been updated (as you had mentioned before). The problem (that I and a lot of people are seeing) are these little bits right here:
EricT0mstuffThis is literally what I'm doing; asking for him to update the newest official versions of KNHUD, BXHUD, etc. instead of or in addition to the custom versions he's updated so far.
This ends up putting Hypnotize in a tough situation: does he upkeep the one that he's been asked to upkeep (the one that's apparently not the most recent version) or start from square 1 (again) and do the entire process over again? So that's where this situation got complicated.
You can always just learn to update huds yourself instead of whining on this thread.EricI've been making HUDs since before Hypnotize joined this website. I know how to update HUDs. I have updated versions of everything from Ell's HUD, FKHUD, yaHUD, etc.
If you're upkeeping some huds that Hypnotize is upkeeping as well, why don't you release them and let Hypnotize know that you're upkeeping them? Considering the massive number of requests he's gotten, he would love to have some help with handling a few possible requests. If you have, disregard this.
EricThis is a lot of upkeep, and KNHUD/BXHUD are particularly out of date. Hypnotize seems to be taking requests, and I made some requests.
They've already been updated, as according to the first page of this thread. What you're asking is for him to update is pretty much a hud with a few changed things that are easily changeable yourself.
I don't intend to start up any beef, but this is how the situation has ended up working out.
Jeez I spent way too long on this post...
EricI don't mean to derail this thread, but I don't feel as though I am "being a dickhead"

All Hypnotize has really done (as far as I'm concerned) is take huds that people have given him, regardless of whether or not they're the "official version" or not and update them. I understand there's a difference between updating for compatibility and updating for personal use, but if you're going to be that critical about how accurate an already outdated hud is, then maybe the problem isn't the person generously doing all of this work himself.
HypnotizeUpdated some more huds:

I feel like the phlog might be the best candidate for becoming the next LG in tf2. The design and idea behind it seems to fit better as a potential replacement than the other 3 flamethrowers. I would think that maybe making the beam that the phlog would shoot deal fire-like damage, but not having any afterburn might be a little more balanced.
aslReflecting has never been difficult so I don't understand why you're rewarded with mini-crits. Isn't completely negating and returning the damage reward enough?.
I wonder if a suitable exchange for mini crit damage would be to have a regular airblast take up more ammo, but on either an extinguish or successful reflect (regardless if the projectile hit someone or not), end up costing less ammo. I love what was done with the gain 20 health on teammate extinguish for pyro, but I also wonder if allowing the 20 health to overheal a pyro would be considered op or not.
But a lot has already been covered that it's quite dumb and frustrating to play against a class where the large majority of the weapons get their definitions from comboing with other weapons, as viper summarized very well in an earlier post
Viperpyro just needs to not be a class whose unlocks are based around getting guaranteed crits or guaranteed mini-crits on people
backburner: crits people from behind
degreaser: faster weapon switch speed so you can pull off crit combos easier
phlog: kill people to build up free crits
flare gun: free crit on someone who's on fire
detonator: free mini-crit on someone who's on fire
reserve shooter: free mini crit on someone who you've airblasted upward
manmelter: free crits after extinguishing teammates (only passable crit-based unlock imo)
scorch shot: free mini-crit on someone who's on fire, and has a sort of effect radius to boot, so basically a better version of the detonator without detonator jumping (EDIT: apparentally the scorch shot blows up stickies, what the fuck)
axtinguisher: free crit on someone who's on fire
volcano fragment: hit people to light them on fire
neon annihilator: free crit on someone who is in water or wet in some way, because they're trying to avoid being on fire
I also remember that kos or someone else mentioned a change to a heavy melee weapon that would give the heavy the ability to b-hop, making it a (more) skill based weapon. It would probably have to come with some downsides of being more vulnerable while spun up or something along those lines, but I feel like pyro has a little bit more potential to be explored than heavy, as pyro is classified as a class that's classified as an "offense" class alongside soldier and scout. Don't get me wrong, heavy can be fun to play, but pyro could use a nice makeover that might breathe a breath of fresh air into a class that gets a lot of hate for having the ability to be played with a steering wheel.
I've actually wrapped a little bit of mine around one of the cords on the back of my monitor. I just made sure before that it would reach the far edges of my desk (and mousepad) just fine and it's worked perfectly for me since.
Medico_di_BiscottiKonceptTurns out the problem was that I had mat_antialias set to 1, which apparently caused the change oddly enough. When I set it to 0, everything went back to normal. Any idea why this is a thing?
I know that changing mat_antialias can cause some weird HUD issues like the background to mouseover itempanels in the backpack going transparent, but I didn't know it did this. Is it changing it that caused your issue or just that particular setting? You could try adding +mat_antialias 1 in your launch options to enable your desired setting without having to change it in-game. I manually enable a config when I start TF2 so I have antialias in launch options, but your cfg might just save it between sessions.
Intentionally changing mat_antialias is actually useful for reloading the main menu when editing your HUD menu. I have a toggle alias like "alias ass toggle mat_antialias 0 1".
I know that toggling mat_antialias is helpful for editing a hud's main menu, but oddly enough, toggling the antialias regardless of 1 or 0 (starting my game with it on either seems to be the cause of it) fixes the issue. I have no idea why this is the issue. Guess I'll just have to put one mat_antialias at the beginning of my autoexec and then have it switch to the other one at the end of the file. But this is honestly very strange that I had that issue
JBKonceptno matter what I do, my scoreboard is cutting off the player names and other info. any idea what causes this?

Looks like some of the values (probably name_width) in the "scores" element in scoreboard.res are too low.
