It's ok, half of twitch just died so nobody can see your struggle.

#34 ETF2L Highlander Nations Cup #3 Quarter Finals: USA vs England in Events

As I said in my original post, our scheduling issues sucked until this weekend. No complaints about playing yesterday.

I personally proposed at least two times a piece for the first three matches we had. If the site doesn't show that than I don't know what to say. I can only play weekends and I really wanted to play, so I offered every weekend day possible for those three matches. Almost every one of those were rejected within 5-30 minutes. Getting rejected to the default time is still getting jerked around when it's clearly a bad time for us. After that I stopped personally doing it because it was clear it was a long shot I'd get to participate. Overseer took over from there and the games were scheduled just to get them played because we probably wouldn't lose in the group stages regardless of roster. I still watched offers get made, rejected, remade, withdrawn, remade, rejected a bunch of times while not doing it myself. Still really annoying to get rejected for every weekend when a lot of games were happening then anyway. Guess I can't argue with an admin though, even if what you say isn't what actually happened.

I honestly didn't see an offer to replay that round and I don't think anyone else on our side did. It wasn't mentioned in mumble. It was probably lost in the chat among the GGs, shit-talk, disconnects and everything else. The chat at the end of that game made it seem pretty final. That's on me though, so sorry.

I don't accept friend invites in general. Sorry, pyro-doppleganger buddy.

*edit* seeing what Spamfest wrote above I got the same feeling. I just didn't even see Hildreth say anything.

Yeah ping wasn't a big issue. Sure it sucks and forces us to change our normal playstyles but it's not the be all end all.

I do wish we weren't jerked around with scheduling so much though. Despite many many games being played weekends we were never given that option until yesterday. The games I tried to handle we were never given our first, second, or usually third choice of match time just outright. I felt like we were more than accommodating with our use of backups and match-times, but we didn't really get much of that in return until this weekend.

I still think it reflects really poorly on the league to allow the match to end like it did yesterday. Great back and forth match between two good rivals, 3-hours long, casted and viewed by 400-500 people and it was just like "gg sorry you got fucked by steam but we're just gonna take that win". Was pretty personally disappointing to me as it's pretty likely the last match I'll ever play.

Honestly most of my personal experience with this tourney has just been dealing with really poor sportsmanship from every team. Your league, your rules though I guess.

That round should have been replayed, if there was any logic to it. I can't blame them for how they played it during, but given how close the match was it was super disappointing to see that outcome immediately accepted. Well within their rights, but I don't see how anyone, player or spectator, could possibly be happy with how that went. Oh well.

#63 XTS! in TF2 General Discussion

If you're defending the majority of the game and not just getting stomped then you probably should be doing more damage. Pretty easy to spam chokes for free damage while people push into you. But if you don't kill the med or are delayed in your repush you just reset and defend again.

#23 Google confirmed to buy Twitch in Off Topic
alfaPlease implement twitch within chromecast so I have an easier time watching it on my TV. The only way to do it now is by using nightdev and that's only reliable half the time.

Lakitu app hasn't failed me once for this if you have an android phone. There are a bunch of others that work decently too.

Reilly I've used a folding banquet table as my desk for a while now and its honestly been the best desk I've owned. Just bought another one to make it L-shaped. $50 total. I took a pic that's prolly too big for the forum but here's a link to what I did.

#51 Anyone have experience with U-Verse? in Off Topic

So I have no real solution unless I move out of town is my conclusion. U-Verse *might* be better but sounds like it's not worth it to get into a 12 month contract to try.

Maybe I'll bring my machine into work and play on fiber. I could play on our 50 foot HD projector too...

Hooky:

I ping around 90 or higher to everywhere but Texas right now. Texas is about 60-70. I'm just outside of Kansas City so geographically speaking I should be getting a lot lower all around. It used to just be Chicago servers, but its pretty much everything now. I've tried multiple times over a couple years to get my ISP to help me but they won't do anything. My speeds are fine (50 down, 6 up) but routing is terrible. It's better during the afternoon, but during peak hours I'm screwed.

I'll probably look into the vpn route and go from there. Thanks for the help, guys.
