Hey Guys! (and Gals)

IGL is excited to announce our Team Fortress 2 Highlander Ladders. I realize there has already been some discussion on these forums about the ladder, and we thank you for the support!

IGL is now announcing a very special contest for TF2 Highlander teams only! The winners will receive 10 T-shirts, customized with their own team logo and choice of color. IGL will even offer up design help for your logo if you need it!

To enter the giveaway follow these simple steps.

1. Register an account at www.playigl.com
2. Create a Team Fortress 2 HL team
3. Complete your roster! (Use IGL's Free Agency system to help!)
4. Upload your team logo to your team profile page!
5. Join the IGL TF2 Highlander Ladder
6. Play at least 5 matches by June 14th, 2013

On June 15th, IGL will randomly draw from those teams that have qualified and one (1) team will win branded t-shirts for their entire team!

The International Gaming League thanks you all for the support and we ask that you continue to give us feedback on ways in which we can improve the community experience. Feel free to message me directly at jclark@playigl.com

#24 International Gaming League? in TF2 General Discussion

To answer a few more of the questions.

First, if the numbers show an interest in EU Ladders, because the ladders are self sustaining, this is something we can offer the EU Community. Regarding that, initially, as we gauge the interest levels, tweak the ladder settings and fix the bugs, we will be concentrating on the NA scene. Obviously, time zones and resources have a lot to do with this, but we are the 'International' Gaming League.. and there has always been plans to support the EU community as well.

If we were to set up an initial EU ladder based on interest, this ladder would be separate from the NA ladder and would be comprised of EU Teams only who would play matches against only EU teams.

#21 International Gaming League? in TF2 General Discussion

Thank you all for the initial support and we hope that over the next few months, as we dive into our supported communities and continue to take the lead from the players, that we can offer the TF2 community another option for their competitive AND their amateur scene.

My name is John Clark (Director of Marketing for IGL)and I have been involved in eSports for over 14 years. I have worked for OGL, GGL, ESWC, ESL, CSN, and most recently IGL. I am a strong supporter of structure and a 'bottom-up' approach. More importantly, because of my past experiences, I am a supporter of league/tournament website modules that work and are easy to use. My past experiences have allowed me to see both the good and the very bad of both structure and modules and at IGL we hope to take the best and use it, improve on what 'should have worked', support all levels of skill and avoid what never worked.

Anyway.. enough of that. We have plans to fully support TF2.. but I must be honest in letting you know that we will be looking to the community for some help. It only makes sense to take queues from the community on what's important to them, the rules and settings and for general help in supporting our efforts.

This thread is a great example of a community that is not only looking for additional competitive options but of a community that is willing to support an organization that is open to supporting them.

We encourage you all to look through the site.. give us feed back and keep posting here with questions, suggestions and concerns you may have. Soon, IGL will release an info graphic that clearly outlines our competition structure which will allow you to see more clearly the vision, the functions, features and improvements of this system.

Thank you for the support.
