Yes, I will have my car that I drive now. I'm driving cross-country to get there. That's mainly why I want ideas, I want to take advantage of not having to bus it everywhere.

Haven't graduated yet, I'm in this Cooperative Education(coop) program my school does. Basically, they help you find a coop(internship) and then you work there then go to school, then go back and work, and come back to school. You do that till you graduate, or till you don't wan't to work anymore, and just want to finish your degree. It's a great way to get practical work experience though, and something that will set you apart from the rest on a resume.

I do enjoy sport events also. I know the sharks are in SJ. Anyone know if the SF giants have a nice stadium, worth attending? what other sport teams are there? itd be summer, so mainly only baseball would be going on.

haha drogo! I have actually thought about that. Mainly I was going to do that if the Wings and the sharks were playing against in the playoffs.

I mean, I just like being outside really. Hiking is one thing I have considered. I went to one of the redwood forests with my parents, and we did like a short 2-mile hike thing. There was like an 11-mile trail there also. Are there like recreational centers or something that you can just go to and meet people and do shit?

Vile I dont really need to smoke while I'm there, and karma's a bitch, next thing you know, i'll actually have a legitimate reason to have that card. Plus I wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize my job with being given such a great opportunity.

Madoff, you should know by now the party dont start till i walk in.....

Yea, I'm not much of a club type of guy, just not my crowd. I'm more into of a smaller type of thing, not the huge rave scene, but who knows.

Key, I actually was in SF for the majority of my family vacation. My parents used to live in Mountain View, so the first few days we did SF. We drove through oakland, but didn't really stop and do anything there.

Hey anyone from the San Jose area,

I recently got some amazing news! I'm a Electrical Engineering student from Michigan, and I have been offered a paid internship/coop position at a company in San Jose. I have very eagerly accepted this offer, and have already found an apartment in San Jose near my future work place.

I start the job in May, so I will likely be leaving sometime later in April or early May. I have been to San Jose before, but I was only in the city for not more than a day, and I was with my parents on a family vacation.

My question to you guys is what should I definitely do while I am there? I will be in SJ from May - August, and then I will return another 2 times, about every other school semester. This is my first time away from home, as I attend school from home, since its like 5 mins away. I'll be 21 by the time I get out to San Jose, so I know I'll hit the nightlife to see what it's like. But what other stuff should I do while in California?

Is this available for public download? I saw it on a stream, and it looks the coolest. Also, if you need more servers to test it on, I'll gladly do it, and provide any feedback I can.

#18 UGC S9 Schedule Released in TF2 General Discussion

I don't understand this map selection process for playoffs. You should play your regular season matches, then have the playoff maps being selected from the maps you play in the regular season. Also upward should definitely be included in the regular season always.

#9 Is demo more than M1+M2 in TF2 General Discussion

Demoman requires huge amounts of thinking as well as great aim to be one of the top at your class. Prediction is probably one of the more important things I have learned as demo. Knowing the game well enough to know where teams will likely push from, or where the teams flank likes to come through, is very important for sticky traps. Observations is very key too, you have to able to pick up on patterns teams get themselves into, and then predict that they will do that again in the same situation. The DM in and of itself is not hard, but being able to keep yourself in good positions so you don't get flanked by a scout or jumped by a soldier is tough. If you get rushed by any good scout or jumped by a good soldier, you're gonna die if you're not prepared for it.

Other thing people take for granted is sticky aim. Eight stickies seems like alot of ammo, but it is very easy to go from 8 stickies to 2 in a few seconds, and then you're fucked. Long-Range stickies are probably the one thing, DM wise, that separates good demos from bad demos. If you can consistently hit scouts/soldiers for 50-60 dmg from across the map, you're definitely on the right track. You're safe from them, you're putting out good damage, and you're not in a position to get rushed by anything which means you're medic can heal your scouts, who will win you rounds when they are being healed.

#15 have to present in school in Off Topic

I think the most important thing to do is speak like half - 3/4 the speed of what you think is normal. When you are in front of people speaking, you will speak very quickly especially if you're /nervous/frightened by it. It will sound very awkward to you in your head, but it will sound perfect to your audience.

Next, know what you are going to say before you say it. I am not too shy of speaking in front of people, but when I don't know my material for a presentation, I definitely feel incredibly nervous, whether it be because I think my audience will think I'm stupid, or I'll get a bad grade on the presentation.

Last thing, be confident! If you don't have any confidence going into your speech, try and act like you're confident. Your speech will sound SO much better if you just have confidence behind your words.

#163 Pre-season highlander gossip in TF2 General Discussion

Shit, I would play again in UGC if they paid for my next season's league fees and premium if I won UGC-Plat. I think it would be more appealing to UGC if it wasn't the top 8 placing teams. Maybe something like the top team gets free 3 months premium code as well as leagues fees paid. The second place team gets their league fees paid for the season? That would be less of a financial endeavor for UGC, but it would still attract players into UGC whether it be new teams looking for a useful prize, or already established esea teams just looking to get freemium. UGC will never be the same competition as esea without a decent prize that is worth something. You won't get higher competition giving out donated hats to winners.

I don't see how this is unfair to UGC. It brings higher level talent back to UGC, creating even more teams that inf can brag about in every post he makes. And attracts new teams with a decent prize for doing well in your league. UGC could be around the same competition level of what I would think would be high-open/low-im. I would definitely play UGC, if they paid my IM-league fee, or if I won, my premium also.
