He isn't talking about me but I did the same thing and it helps a ton plus it helps teach you when a good time to switch to shotty is instead of just always firing 4 rockets. At this point it is so ingrained in my head to finish enemies with the shotgun that sometimes I am playiing ammomod(the 1200 health version) hit 2 good rockets on the other soldier and switch to shotty out of habit.

Okay so I am one of the players that lost to his team in silver finals and I have pugged with him several times/just been around him in mumble.

All that said, in my experience with him he never cause a red flag to be as far as hacking goes but then again neither did scout who. I am usually pretty cautious to think anyone is hacking. However I can say that his aim compared to his gamesense would suggest he either 1. did cheat or 2. was a massive dm lord but honestly in the time I have know him I never felt like he practiced his dm all that often. Though that could be that he used to practice it a ton and just hadn't been in the time I have known him. Now all that said, given the evidence I do feel it is likely he was cheating but I don't feel strongly that way.

I last interacted with duffle more than a season ago, however at that time he was a low open scout with high open dm. Extremely cocky and self centered. When the subject is other people he seems to be a genuinely nice guy though.

There is no direct correlation between playing esea/ugc and getting better. I agree that most teams playing esea take it more seriously and that is why they get better faster, but that doesn't mean it is because they are in esea. There is nothing stopping a ugc team(or hell even a no league team scrim team) from practicing hard and getting good faster than an esea team.

I don't mean to detract from the fact that 70 plus teams in open would be awesome.

My experience with u-verse is when they sold it to us they quoted us a price and a speed and after installing we found the speed was way slower than advertised(like less than half) and when we talked to them about it apparently the deal they sold us isn't even available in our area. We had it removed and went back to our old company.

Assuming usual open team means mid open what makes you think you are capable of playing above mid open?

Alright so kain, I watched your videos before my first post in this thread about geknaiir and they weren't impressive. You said you were looking for a "Mid/Upper mid range" team and even assuming you meant open(the lowest division) it doesn't seem to me that you are good enough to play at anything above a low open level.

Perhaps I am wrong and you are actually incredible, but that seems way less likely.

Assuming I'm right my advice is as follows. 1. Take a step back and realize that you aren't as good at the game as you think you are. 2. Apologize for being so cocky. 3. Change your cl_interp to 0.0152, seriously that 100 ms interp was hurting my eyes. 4. Try this looking thing again and advertise yourself with a little more humility.

Also, are there any mid-high open teams with a bit of free time to try kain out on pocket and either 1. Prove all of us wrong or 2. Show kain the difference between how good he thinks he is and how good he actually is.

It makes me happy to see Slemnish go from the mge lord scout with 0 gamesense in his first season of 6s on my steel team to a legitimately good player so fast.

Secondly stealing a suggestion Rage gave me "we're a mid open team hoping to maybe snag a spot in playoffs. everyone on our team has commitments and whatnot which will sometimes make it so they cant show up, so we're looking for dedicated backups who will fill in the spots when we need them. scout and medic backups take strong priority but any and all would be appreciated"

I fucking hate airshotting a dude for 48 damage and him living. But I really hate dying to the dh a mile a way.

Current pistol would be stupid with no spread, I'd totally use a weaker more accurate pistol if it were an option though. I hate when I feel like my tracking was as good as could be but spread fucks me. Or when my tracking is sloppy but the equivalent of a random crit happens and I destroy a dude.

This all sounds terrible imo

Whenever I play a local jump map I have to cap my fps because around 900 fps everything just starts moving to fast. Like the game is in fast forward(though I think the timers are still right)
