Your logic is backwards.

People only hit airshots because they can hit directs, not the other way around.

Uhhh. That was not my point, my point was that if you can hit the hard shots you can most likely hit the easy shots too. Maybe I worded it poorly idk.

If you play soap dm as soldier never get high ground and take the hardest shots possible. If people shoot you from high ground go for directs instead of counter-jumping. A lot of soldiers just counter-jump and sit at high ground, doesn't make any sense to me since you won't get better quickly if you only shoot at the ground in a training mod. Do not play training mods to win them, play them so you'll get better.

Unfortunately no.

EDIT: Although there were a few metalworks matches at lan and you can still download those, the downloads expire in 3 months iirc.

EDIT 2: There was actually only one lan match on metalworks and it was a 5-0.

KaeyelThere will always be the edge case of someone not owning anything but the stock weapons, so stock weapons can not be banned at all.

Even if they were, there would have to be a gateway system of sorts before you're "allowed" to enter the lobby system, and I don't think that's a wise use of resources.

To add to this...

There could/should be a rental system for weapons deemed absolutely crucial by the community, such as the Kritzkrieg.

Or maybe make it so that you can use all unlocks in tournament mode?

I'm not really liking that the system the majority is suggesting involves special treatment for certain weapons(stock+generally liked unlocks), but allowing all weapons to be banned could be pretty horrible. Sticky Launcher would be a standard ban then, making the demoman nearly useless. That's because all the alternatives to the Sticky Launcher are awful, but maybe Valve would realize this and buff/rework the others to be somewhat useful. That could take a lot of time though, so playing demo in this matchmaking system would be terrible for a long period of time.

Also copy-pasting here what I said earlier in the other thread:

facedownpourProtatoThis reminds me of a hud reload scheme bug.
When you press a key bound with hud_reloadscheme you will freeze for half a second. Not really that useful, but I guess it could be used for dodging strafing etc.
IIRC, wonderlands jumps at the end of one of the Jump vids was using that to stay in one spot so that you can do a quad jump without any preparation.

EDIT: sorry! the jumps where his shooting down might be reloadscheme, but I don't think the granary jump is

I think it actually is. He rocket jumps, hits his lag bind and does another rocket jump.

I would really like to have some sort of incentive to move out so the HRG play where they wait two minutes and then bomb Tagg would become less viable. Compare it to Quake, if you are the player in control and you sit around doing nothing it's actually a bad idea because your armor and health will decay and the player out of control will catch up to you. It's really boring to watch teams sit around doing nothing and then the occasional roamer suicide will happen and they'll maybe get the force out and then push with uber advantage. You can try to push with that roamer advantage but it's pretty difficult with the fast forward respawns. An incentive to move out could be a power-up or an armor or something like that.

Instead of adding an incentive move out you could also make pushing into second/mid easier, most obvious solution being increasing forward respawn timers. However this could also make teams more scared of pushing uber vs uber because before if they screwed up they could maybe delay the enemy team enough for the forward respawns to kick in. Another option is to modify the maps obviously.

In my opinion that play just needs to be weakened to the point where it's not viable at all.

TorbullOne of the ad networks we had ended up allowing in a rogue advertiser that Google flagged as distributing malware. All Google has to do is attempt an index on our site while that advert was loaded and we're flagged. Obviously this has been rectified but until Google re-indexes all of our pages it will continue to pop up every once in a while.

LKincheloeNot working for me, did the -insecure and installed to the custom folder. Console spit this out:
] plugin_load addons\advspec
Loading unsigned module addons\advspec
Access to secure servers is disabled.
Unable to load plugin "addons\advspec"
Unable to load plugin "addons\advspec"

I had this problem, solved it by restarting Steam. Not sure how it worked but it did.
