back like... two years ago when i was getting into competitive, i tried out for a steel highlander team as soldier. i got approached from this guy who needed a soldier. i was told to join mumble one night to try out, the other 8 waiting for me. i join the mumble, and enter the channel. the only thing i hear is the engineer of our team passionately reading out heavy/medic fan fiction for a solid 10 minutes. before i even introduce myself or get greeted all i can do is sit and listen to this horrifyingly graphic fan fiction while everyone else is silent. once he finishes, we get into a server and play a scrim. i ended up joining that team and am friends with many of the people on that team to this day, except for the engineer
