#19 Peace out in TF2 General Discussion

Peace out Killing. Running ESEA TF2 with you was a blast, I couldn't have asked for a better partner. The work you did to build this community is a huge reason for why it has stuck around for so long. I have fond memories of nights in pre-season strategizing on how we were going to kill CEVO again or hanging out during long nights doing tickets on Admin mumble or whatever silly task we were up to at the time. I have no doubt that if you weren't at the helm ESEA TF2 wouldn't have been half as successful.

I wish you the best man.

For those who are trying to grab seats still, there are as of this post some seats in row C10-21 that are at least somewhat close to the TF2 group. There are maybe 20 seats remaining in the entire event so grabbing an optimal seat is gonna be hard.

E19 as well.

#21 Is the Stickybomb Launcher poorly skill-indexed? in TF2 General Discussion

People focus on pipes because they're flashy but they really aren't important. You'll use pipes for about 20-30% of your kills depending on your style, but everyone practices pipes 90% of the time. It's an utter waste of your time. The truth is simply this: if you have good stickies combined with good movement you can be god awful at hitting direct pipes and still be an invite caliber demo. You won't be a b4nny or platinum level demo but you will be able to compete with them.

It's the most underestimated but one of the most integral things about being a good demoman. If you've ever played against or watched some of the best demomen the lowest common denominator is that they are impossible to approach and impossible to hit despite the classes weaknesses. A good demo can combine his movement and positioning with solid sticky placement to control where your enemies can go and completely screw anyone from being able to get in any half-decent position to hit them.
