#128 Lange @ i49 in TF2 General Discussion
ComedianLange I think Skyride and Comedian (with some gentle coaxing) would too.
I dont think anyone can convince me to ever work for byte again.

This is the kind of stuff (no matter how much justified it is) that should never be thrown around in public forums.

#10 Wolfenstein: The New Order in Off Topic

Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory was the first FPS I have played in my life and I played it 5 years non-stop, it's my favorite game of all time and a big part of my childhood, it's how I fell in love with gaming and everything tech related. Jimi Hendrix on the other hand, is my favorite musician and guitarist of all times, I can't even begin to process how good this video felt for me!

That being said, I still love Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory more than any other wolfenstein game they launched after it, that game was everything that's right in FPS's, awesome mechanics, class based, team based, great maps, great weapons and addicting as hell, shame it died down :(

This thread is a shame to our scene. Horrible decisions, profissionalism and dirty laundering all-around, if you really wanna show the mature and professional casting org you both (and that goes for both vanillatv and tftv) say you are and really contribute towards the development of our scene I suggest you cease this childish discussion and start working towards a singular goal, which is providing the best possible production quality for lan.

Alone or joint forces between both orgs, I really don't care, but lan is coming in August and you got plenty of time to iron out these problems.

This thread could well be in the "Do not do" section of "Casting Orgs for dummies"

IGL looks like a solid project, still a long way to go tho, site has some problems but it definitly has the potential, I would love to play a season there to experience how it works.

#33 What now? in TF2 General Discussion

Nothing's gonna happen because NA scene is Esea's bitch, no hard feelings, it's just the way it is, and you have showed us more than one time that they can fuck you over all they want and you will still pay to play.

#102 Esea Client Mining Bitcoins in Off Topic

ESEA will keep doing this because you never stop kissing their ass, I remember when the extv/tf.tv drama started, you all got on esea's side, because "you couldn't let tf2 die"

Now look what happens... They have taken that trust and fistfucked it for buttcoins.

wake up NA, Esea is no good, Europe has been thriving with etf2l, sure, there are no 10K prizepools and 3 lans/season, but will you actually allow your trust in them to be breached like this without any consequences?

phobiaI would play it if my garbo pc could play it

Yeah, it's a little bit resource heavy, but it's still being optimized, still a great game nonetheless

#28 Loadout Beta in Off Topic

Thanks for this post trev, it was the first time I heard of loadout anywhere, then I watched myles video and got really interested, got my key and started playing immediatly...

THe game is awesome, funny and quirky gameplay, feels a lot like tf2 style (humor, cartoon-like, kind of class based, and a lot of the same mechanics). I simply love it!

Also the learning curve is really smooth and you will be kicking ass in no time. Shame it's still closed beta tho and still many stuff not available but this is one game to look out for. Would be awesome to try it competitively

#56 Your smoking story in Off Topic

I never really got the habbit of smoking cigarettes, I mean I have smoked a lot of cigs while drunk, but I don't have an habit or addiction to do it. Never even reached the 3-4 cig/day quota. Most likely I'll smoke 2 or 3 out with friends and don't touch it for months.

The only tobacco I buy is for mixing with stuff, and that's only on the weekends.

#48 Competitive TF2 Guide to Everything in TF2 General Discussion
manaI'm not against using comp.tf for something, but that's not a different argument than sending them here. Maybe comp.tf could curate/centralize literally all the sites? It's unclear exactly how things will end, at the moment.

Yeah it would be almost that same and yeah my aim was to centralize all the sites, more than that, was to compile all the resources available for each class/map as in vods, povs, demos, etc, etc... With the permission and credit given to the authors of course.

In my mind it worked something like, you enter the site, you pick a class guide, and you have a text guide with assist images and then yoou have a lost of resources such as configs, demos, vods, useful to the medic class...

#45 Competitive TF2 Guide to Everything in TF2 General Discussion
lamefxThat idea has been put out there before but we could just copy stuff from the main guide we're writing and put it there after.

The important thing is to actually get the guides and stuff finished. We need some people to help with this. If you're interested add me/mana. http://steamcommunity.com/id/lamefx

The thing is, a central site for everything comp would work better imo, a site explaining how each scene works and the differences from NA to EU for example, as well as a class guide for each class both for 6s and highlander...

Etf2l already has the newbie guide, great, tftv gonna have one soon it seems but the ideal would be something that if someone would ask on a forum "I want to start playing tf2 competitively? What should I do?" you would alwaYs direct them to the same site with every information he needs, at least thats what I aimed for when I started working on comp.tf... Still a long way to go but I think with some help it could really take off
