mthsadthe whole google+ thing is so stupid. i mean, i know google is trying to clean up the (horrible horrible) quality of comments but this is not the way to do it
If you look at it from another perspective this is also a way to give companies more voice in the comment sections and simply hide the public opinion, meaning they will certainly get more advertising revenue and companies betting hard on google+, since it now gives priority to google+ accounts comments.
From the last 3-4 videos I have seen in the technology field the top comment is always either by the Intel, AMD, or Microsoft google plus page, meaning that those brands already have an establishing following and just commenting on something through google plus gives them instant top spot in the video comment sections.
Pretty smart from google from a business point of view, pretty dumb from them from a costumer service point of view, you cant just neglect your userbase and so thoroughly ignore them
I worked with some CMS before, very familiar with wordpress, SMF, phpbb. Also familiar with joomla, the old mambo and some others.
All I learned was by experimenting with the stuff, just get a free host or a crappy shared host thats like 2$/month and install the one you want to learn and mess with it yourself. Honestly I never looked up any tutorials that I can remember, but I had lots of questions and doubts, for that I used the support forums a lot and google.
Mainly SMF which was my biggest project and I had no idea on any of that stuff, eventually my forum grew to 5-6k users and I had to get familiar with it and it was through the forums that I got my answers.
From experience I can tell you that wordpress is really straightforward, the backend and the admin panel is very user friendly and you will do almost anything without having any trouble, you can just do a blank install and see for yourself, all you need is patience and experimenting with the different options, after that is a matter of arranging plugins, themes, etc, maybe costumizing them.
About joomla I can't really help you because my experience is from 4-5 years ago and its also a bit limited but I do remember that its also easy to use, altough nowhere near wordpress. After a few days, 1-2 weeks you will probably get the basic gist of any CMS.
Congratz! Very happy to hear that :) Wish we had something of that kind with that level of organization in EU
KanecoDarkNecrid- Fixed taunts with a special purpose being overridden by the Halloween taunt
holy shit people have been asking for that since the first halloween event in 2009
Hopefully by 2016 they will fix the demo playback issues we have been complaining about since forever
Actually, I noticed the most recent CS:GO template apparently had a big demo playback update, you can now rewind demos without having to reload the map and also skip by kills and rounds easily... Should we get our hopes high for this? Isn't it the same demo engine basically?
reillyI few things I've noticed of the changes
Second, the spacing on the top of pages looks really odd to me. The gap between the ad and the stuff following is awkward, and it just feels like everything was thrown in there. (Edit: this picture doesn't really capture how it feels actually, in the context of the page it's odd)
Yeah it definitely looks odd, it stood out for me as well
reillyLastly, the blue bar for events stands out too much I think. The old way looked better in my opinion, as now it's just a giant blue bar (and pretty much the only solid blue piece on the website).

I dont really agree with this, I think it fits perfectly with the new theme since the main action links/buttons (as the "Post your reply" button) changed to that color. Besides its there for someone posting in a thread linked to an article to be able to notice its an article thread easier, IMO its fine.
I am having trouble creating my own xhair.
Since Im using Photoshop cs6 64 bits the plugin doesn't work on it and using the stand alone VTFEdit all I get is a pixelated mess, any tips?

This is what appears to me for example
Also has been happening to me on Firefox
didn't find any thread for it yet.
New Humble Bundle released, some pretty cool games (inc FEAR 2/3, Batman games and LOTR)
now we're talking... Great work enigma!!!
Probably add an extended inbox limit to tf.tv plus? That would make it much more attractive.
Edit: Also loving the new overall look, Im really really loving particularly the events area on the main page, much more straightforward and you can use your timezone now! Great for euros! Thanks!
nmzianyone have a extra ram stick?
i ordered without looking at minimum specs ;[
Apparently the whole requirements are a gimmick
From what I heard you can use this ram fix found online and the game plays fine on 2GB ram
