Southern Greenland is pretty much straight between Europe and West/North USA.
It's only the routing, and the fact polar bears don't know how to operate TF2 servers, that makes it impossible.

The only difficult thing is deciding which of Greenland's hundreds of TF2 servers to use.

agreed, duno why they used a dallas server at first. players in the UK can ping 90-100+ to NYC servers, also west coast players would hit around the same, would of been a lot more even
I agree and for broder it will be much more extreme. Sweden/Finland/Latvia will get 130-150 ping even to NY.
I'd suggest:
1st map: NY
2nd map: UK (or whatever is best for HRG in EU)
3rd map: NY (or flip coin, it's pretty irrelevant)
atmoepsilon won't be playing on laptops this LAN
The team is totally different anyway so all comparisons are out the window.
I still consider HRG big favourites because of how they did in ESEA and the general better LAN experience of US players.
You're not the only one having problems with this card.
I've got two GTX 460 in SLI, and I was getting the occasional blue screen and then some graphical artefacts and boot failures.
I've tried running them individually, and they both work fine when gaming, but sometimes on restarting my PC I get artefacts on the Windows loading screen, then the fan switches to 100% speed and the PC fails to boot. Restarting it again fixes it.
It might be caused by factory over-clocking. I also think the built-in drivers the card uses when you first install it are faulty.

I'm not sure it will be that bad, as it's possible all AU-US traffic is getting routed through Hawaii anyway.

Even though good progress has been made, $4000 of this $6000 was made in the first four days. The current rate of donations wouldn't be enough, so I think some kind of show-match event is needed (and fun to watch anyway).
