Zyclon_did you just look at the screenshots on the download page or did you actually download the map?
that's my opinion after jumping around on it
i play on mastercoms low if you wanna see it like i do. idk might be an issue from that, but that's a lot of players it'd effect
Shoutout to rogue for singlehandedly keeping newbie mixes alive for like 2 years while all the other admins were burnt out. Other admins did work with team drive/ other stuff/ helped out every once in a while, but the weekly mixes are the reason ~half of the people that play newcomer get into the game. imo, he basically picked up lower level 6s and put it on his back for that time.
Looks really neat, almost like a better/ more vertically interesting version of foundry?
I haven't looked too closely at it, but the biggest thing I noticed is just how dark the whole map is; it seems like an aesthetic choice (because the map looks super cool) rather than a gameplay one. The inside is particularly bad.
ThompsonAre the assets used in rd_asteroid available? Would be so sick if someone could make a space themed 6s map.
JojoI don't think he's really considered classical but fuck Sousa that guy tortures french horn players.
you've been listening to the WRONG sousa buddy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-GMVsnA9oQ
this is the only sousa piece that matters
THEBILLDOZERcan you add an option for the 4 star forum
shhhhh don't let them know
giffy has been taken ;-;
if anyone has a form of communication w/ him other than steam, please hmu and/or let him know
he's still the head admin of the newbie mix steam group, so i'd like to get this resolved before some newbie clicks on some bullshit
AimIsADickit turns out that you need to be an adult to use compressed air (or at least in Tennessee anyway).
as a lifelong tennesseean that was the local familial/friend tech support
i broke this law a lot apparently
Glad they fixed their stuff. We love a recurring sponsor!
I had the "NETGEAR - Powerline AC1000 Wi-Fi Access Point and Adapter". Worked well from certain rooms to certain other rooms, but it was a bit of a crapshoot on our old electric wiring. Whatever you get, I recommend getting it at a local retail place w/ a decent return policy, so you can do so easily if needbe.
carteri think best case scenario is valve hiring this guy. super impressive work and i've really enjoyed watching these devlogs, but i seriously doubt there are any gameplay implications (and certainly not competitive implications)
valve just needs to hire like the 3 or 4 tf2-fixing dorks with a reasonable salary, and this game will last forever
(ily, tf2 fixing dorks)
I played on 720p/60fps on a lan where I only brought my laptop. 720p and even below is super playable if you're already used to fucky configs. it's not ideal, but better low res than low fps
