@smobo did you tell an admin? because we deal with people like that if we get told that it's happening.

alosec wasn't online, sorry. whoever is the current drafting admin should be able to get you the pass for that channel.
You can sit in the coaches lounge until a coach is needed, you don't have to deal with the drafting channel. If you don't have a lot of time you can talk to an admin that is drafting and he'll get you in as soon as there are enough to draft.
I was busy with other stuff last night so I'm not sure what was going on with anything in particular, but I can tell you that one of four things was probably happening
a) there were a lot of mixes going and not enough admins to keep drafting
b) there were not enough newbies to draft another
c) there was only one coach available
d) you weren't in the right channel
So there has been a huge issue with coaches in newbie mixes lately. It's the opposite of welcoming for new players to have their first competitive experience be "yo hold up for 20 minutes while we get coaches".
If you have 45 minutes this evening, please come coach newbie mixes. I'm going to bump this thread whenever we need coaches.

@vibhavp
They (last time I checked) use xsplit with flash graphics.
please don't stream 1080p. nothing that you have access to will stream 1080p60fps nice enough to where it will be better than 720p60fps. unless you have some evl supercomputer that i'm unaware of.
That depends on your needs. If you're primarily focused on the game working well over the steam, NVENC is very good. I recommend trying it to see if it works well for you.
At the same bitrate, it's comparable to a very fast or lower x264 encoding.
OBS installs two instances of itself on your computer: one 32 bit and one 64 bit. If you only put your plugin in the 64 bit OBS it will only run in 64 bits. I will cover this in more detail in the video.
@alfie
Try NVENC. It will probably help you out, especially in CPU intensive games like TF2. It all depends how good your integrated gfx card is.
As for mumble overlay, there's a plugin. That's what the next tutorial is for, but here's a link to the plugin itself http://catchexception.org/downloads/mumble-overlay-plugin/
somewhat related, do the UGC forums run painfully slow for anyone else?
i want to browse them to answer potential questions and stuff, but it takes forever for anything to load for me.
am i just spoiled by tftv?
Sorry about the delay.
Maps will be played using what is essentially ETF2L's cfgs and whitelists. Upper brackets will be playing bo3's, lower brackets will be playing bo1's. The first maps for each round of the tournament are listed in the bracket. However, if both teams agree to play on something different, they can.
Leaders, you will get an invite from me after me posting this. Please add me. I will be sending out more detailed info.
- Resource pack for your servers
- Brackets
- My trade URL. I need your teams payments by Friday night. Please include your TFTV post # in the traderequest description.
First game will be at 12:15pm est on Saturday. Teams who start in round two (just about all of them) should make plans to be in mumble ready at 1pm est. Expect games to go as late as 11pm est. Anything after that will be pushed to Sunday, which will also be starting at 12:15pm est. However, if both teams want to play their games late on Saturday rather than Sunday, that will be fine.
The best of the games will be casted. I'm currently getting info on that. I say this because it's important that I know when/ where you're playing. Please communicate with me as much as possible throughout this event.
Edit: just had a team drop out so now everyone will be starting on saturday at 1pm est.
Glad you guys like the resource. I'll be making more of them now that I'm back home with a more optimal setup.
for mothers day i moved back home
surprise mom!!!
We ended the mixes one hour later than we normally do. Keep in mind that the admins and coaches are human beings and as much fun as newbie mix pugs going on forever, they consistently get toxic/frustrating/not fun after 1est. We pushed back the time an entire hour from when we usually cut it tonight, and the last mix I coached was really bad.
I'm sorry if it seems bad, but the admins knew very well that we COULD have another game. That doesn't mean it would've been fun or educational. We plugged the newbie pug group (which is comprised of current and former newbie mix gamers), and those pugs usually go pretty late after newbie mixes are over.
Thanks for coming out and playing, guys. We'll work off of what we did this week (the biggest newbie mix ever) in the future, :D
