Viability of new weapons

BASE/ Airstrike combo is the most fun thing I've done in this game in a while. Certainly not viable in competitive, but it certainly isn't the worst weapon. When you get to an 8 rocket clip (not too hard to do in a pub), you can do some pretty silly stuff. Part of the downside is that it uses a bit of WASD movement as opposed to pure strafing.
Also, is anyone noticing a difference with the air strike and the stock rocket launcher in terms of rocket jumping? The air strike seems much easier to pogo/ speedshot. This could just be me dealing with major placebo, but I saw it on truktruk's stream, and it seemed pretty odd. Seriously, go try it.

When is the cutoff for registering? I'd really like to go, but it depends 100% on my school/ midterm schedule, which i won't get for a good while.
You can always buy a ticket and get a refund up until two weeks (I think) before the event.
